Holdel Park is an absolute gem for family barbecues and community gatherings! The lush green surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for creating cherished memories. With well-maintained facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, it's an ideal spot to bond with loved ones while enjoying delicious food and fostering a strong sense of community. Highly recommended!
Huge park with lots of benches to Sit, pond, reserve areas for celebration, play area for kids, awesome trails to walk, clean toilets and lots of parking, a small farm with cows, what else one needs for whole day picnic.
So nice park! I loved the old house in the farm. So elegant! Beautiful park and playgrounds. They all are free! Cow milking was in 3 pm so we couldn't see it but enjoyed in the Amish farm! The lake is very beautiful! Playground: There are 2 playgrounds so they both are nice! Restrooms: Very clean restrooms! Thank you for that Dog-friendliness: I saw many people were walking with their dogs Picnic area: A lot of picnic areas are there!
Holmdel park has a bit of everything. Multiple parking spots. Bathrooms are in each lot or most of them. When it comes to activities its famous for “the bowl” which is the crux of the longer trail and the cross country run. The trails are walkable and runnable, can be shorter or longer based on your preferences. Very nice views throughout the park and places to relax/picnic. I see pets here and there so it seems like a good park for that. If you are around the area you will enjoy it.
Beautiful park, so much to see and do with family or just relax on the grass by yourself. Playground: My 3 grandkids loved the park...ages 12, 9 and 2. Restrooms: Very clean. Picnic area: Reserve.
Beautiful trails. Perfect for walks or jogs. It has flat and unflattened trails... check out the pictures
Holmdel Park is a beautiful well-kept park and has more than 10 miles of trails. You can run or walk on the gravel or paved path or venture in the woods on the dirt path to go hiking and enjoy nature. The trails are well known to cross country runners. It’s also a fun place to walk your dog and I met some dogs along the way and, of course, I had to take pictures of them. The Historic Longstreet Farm is from the late 19th century. I only saw two cows outside the barn while I was there. There’s something to do here for everyone or you can relax and have a picnic. It’s a fun way to spend the day with family and friends and perhaps learn some history along the way. Definitely will be coming back here. Fun Fact: The initial park land was established in 1962 and dedicated to the Citizens of Monmouth County in 1964.
Great park with lots of barbecue options, play area and tree. However park rangers do not allow the use of a hammock. Public restrooms are good and available almost everywhere. Playground: The kids playground is really good. Restrooms: Public restrooms are good and available Picnic area: Lots of barbecue options
We have been here before but hadn't really explored. We set out for a birdwatching evening with a naturalist from the Monmouth County Park System. What a fantastic location! We saw so many species of birds from mockingbird, catbird, red wing black bird and several more. The arboretum is so wonderful! Can't wait for my next visit!
Versatile park that can meet the needs of different groups. This is a must-see for the cherry tree blossoms in the spring. There is a gated arboretum to walk around. The lake is home to wildlife. The various trails allow for customizable walks. There is a public restroom, but it is not always open. There is a farm where special events occur. There are playgrounds and athletic fields.
