This is one of the best parks in Medford if you like small parks. I literally drive from Ashland to go here during the heat wave as it’s the only fully shaded park my dog can run around in. Great playground too.
This is my kind of park: quiet, in a nice residential area. No one blasting their music for the whole park to hear ot throwing their trash on the ground when a trash can is 6 ft away. There's sufficient trails for having a decent-length walk and plenty of areas where dogs can do their business. There's a playground for the kids and a large picnic area for a birthday party in the park or other friendly gathering. The bathrooms are small but cleaned regularly. Parking lot is also small but not usually crowded. There are frequently used tennis courts here also.
Always a great place to walk the dog. With a variety of trails and lengths for your individual needs. Other dog owners respectful and friendly. Even get to see a hawk in the same treetop each morning warming himself up! Playground: Decent. Layed out mostly for small children. Restrooms: Kept clean and this is out of way of most homeless so safe and comfortable. Dog-friendliness: Way easier and low key compared to alot of other parks. Picnic area: Nice place with covered picnic tables. Great for family or group gatherings.
Nice picnic area, playground and covered pavilion for parties. Tennis courts and large open grassy areas surrounded by benches and a walking trail. Larger loops take you into a small oak Savannah with majestic views of the mountains. There is even a wayside showing, and naming, the peaks. Great place for a dog walk or jog.
Always a popular park, full of pickleball players. Medium playground, large open field with walking paths. Sadly only a small basketball area and infant swings away from the main playground. But large covered area for parties.
Pretty nice little park. 1/2 court basketball, 2 tennis courts, big field, and little toy area for the kids. Nice acreage next to it for dog walking also. I'm not sure how the bathrooms are all the time cause I don't go there a lot, but they were gross when I was there last. Bathrooms have been cleaner the last couple times I've been here.
Holmes Park has something for everyone, young and older and everything in between! Tennis/Pickle courts, jogging/walking/dog walking, frisbee throwing on expansive grass and lovely trees. add to that large safe play structures, picnic tables, clean restrooms and you have a beautiful park for an enjoyable outing!
I like it alot. Great play structure. Pathway that goes around the grass area and pretty trees. Kids seem to enjoy it. Bathrooms right next to the playground is a plus.
Nice clean park. Great walking path, tennis courts, and a fun little playground for kids. Playground: One for bigger kids and another close by for the littler ones. Dog-friendliness: Nice paved walking trail I saw people walking their dogs on. Well maintained not dirty.
Went for a night walk, hoping to see bats. Looks like it would be a nice park in the daylight.
