Owned by the Diocese of San Diego, Holy Cross serves families with full Catholic burial services, including the sacred privilege of Catholic liturgy for burial.

We celebrate weekly Mass and pray for everyone buried and entombed at Holy Cross Cemetery every Friday at 11am.

My uncle is buried here as are my great aunts and many family friends. It is a beautiful place, well taken care of with plenty of places to pick as your final resting place. There are several outside mausoleums, beautiful indoor ones and several interesting areas catering to the different ethnicity, cultures and demographics in San Diego. Because it is a Catholic cemetery, all the big shot priests and archbishops are interred here as are all the priests and nuns..... But seperately of course. One star lost as there are no easily accessible restrooms except in the church.
Very beautiful and well kept. The staff is lovely and no trash is ever flying by. This place is very relaxing and comfortable. I enjoy coming here and visiting with family and friends of the past.

With regard to holy Cross cemetery a few of my photos are crossed in with the military cemetery in Miramar with regards to the holy Cross cemetery photos they're like two or three that I clearly have to be honestly point out the tractor tracks over the headstones are for real they were brought up to the cemetery main office and it's only due to the fact that it is the only way they can honestly track over and cut the grass was there excuse but with all due respect it is beautiful place my grandfather rest is there great grandfather on the other side both photos are posted but the photos of the many headstones align with the sunsets are of the military cemetery in Miramar off of noble drive
My little grandson was buried on 01 April 2021. Lord called him to heavenly abode from mother’s womb before he was . Little angel need not suffer in this broken world, God decided. Holy Cross Cemetery is a well maintained one and staffs are very cordial and nice service.
Recently buried a loved one there. I often walk the grounds of the cemetery and read the headstones. Some date back to the 1800's. I contemplate the lives of the deceased and imagine what they would do differently if they were given the chance to relive a portion of their lives. It is very peaceful and I appreciate that there are actual headstones. Pray for the souls of the faithful departed and ask for their intercession. The poor souls in purgatory quickly become your best of friends when you pray for their quick delivery unto the Beatific Vision.
Memorial day was very busy and parking was difficult but doable. Extra security and crews out for flag placement and clean up. Mausoleum always clean. Even the older cyprt areas are clean and open.
