Quiet little RV park close to work, good rates, 1 minute away from Buc-ees. Good location, wifi pretty good. Pull through spot. Just your average RV park with great rates, wifi, and very low key quiet. Perfect for working family. Also amazing banana bread pudding when you check in.
The staff is friendly. This is a no frills rv park great for a quick one night stay on the way to your destination. In my pictures you'll see I never unhooked my trailer. Didn't eat at restaurant so dont know how that goes. Old and outdated but quiet.
I have lived here since August and have met but ONE person working here willing to even learn a new comers name. Both the employees and Owners are VERY QUICK to POINT and SLANDER you. They are rude and gossipy which makes leaving your home a terrifying experience. They should remember they are FAR from being BETTER than ANYONE. There are SO many things i have seen and heard about ALL of them that i could judge them for, EVEN ADD TO THIS REVIEW. Instead i psych myself crazy for their approval... or a single attempt to even meet me. It's so bad that i will only go the office/ restaurant when given NO OTHER OPTION because I'm petrified to be there. THIS ISN'T THE SAFE, FRIENDLY PLACE the man on the phone sold me. Which is VERY sad. I happen to know the NEW PARK MANGER will make EVERYONE feel like they're coming home. To bad the restaraunt won't be changing with the park in March ... plus: dog friendly when leashed or tied only owners animal's permitted to wonder. NOTE: if you a single FEMALE traveling ALONE, DO NOT COME will not be welcomle.
Very friendly and accommodating. I broke down and had to roll in pretty late. They set up a site for me and I quietly rolled in. When leaving I was waiting for an RV part to come in. They allowed me to stay past check out to get that part. The park itself is okay. A bit of freeway noise. Grass lots that can get rutted in rainy season. Utilities are fine and the wifi was good enough to stream YouTube low res. Would prefer gravel or paved sites and updated laundry and shower facilities.
Such a cute quiet place. We arrived late and were greeted by the sweetest lady- she even gave us some bread pudding! Park was clean, quiet and well maintained. Thank you!
Visiting a friend, the park appears well cared for, and the people we saw were cheerful.
This place is awful! We stopped at night because of rain and couldn't really see the place. We didn't even hook up. It rained 90% all the next day so we couldn't go out. When we did, OMG! The restrooms & laundry was filthy . Papers & dirty socks and clothes strewn about. Old, broken down abandon trailers everywhere.I would NOT stay there ever again! The only positive thing I can say was the the owner, Sandy, was friendly and gave us a package of her homemade bread pudding.
Shrimpy's restaurant has some of the best seafood with very reasonable prices! The homemade crab cakes are the best I have ever had, even in the fancy restaurants in Houston & Galveston. Worth the drive! Smoked salmon & homemade bread pudding! Yummy The rv park staff are friendly/helpful even if it could use a little cleaning. Not a problem for overnighters. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for a RV Resort, this isn't it. We needed a almost midway stop from Galveston to the Frisco area and "Home on the Range" totally fit the bill site not particularly level, but long enough for 39.6 ft. fifth wheel and our converted HDT. Our slot close enough to laundry and bathroom so I could take a shower. We didn't connect our sewage hose. Only stayed one night. Next January '23, I think we'll stay longer to check out Madisonville. Upon check-in we were given a small bread pudding. Absolutely delicious!! Purchased six to go with us.
I have been staying here for over a week. This is the friendliest place I’ve stayed in a while! It might appear outdated, but the upgrades I’ve seen in the short time I’ve been here are impressive. I hear there are more to come. The catch and release pond has a beautifully peaceful fountain. I’ve spent 2 evenings just sitting and listening to the crickets and frogs. The on-site restaurant has the best fried shrimp and fish I’ve had in a very long time! There isn’t a thing I’ve eaten there that I didn’t absolutely enjoy. The bread pudding is to die for!
