"....we gotta be about what's happening here in Maryland. we have to be present at each and every food scene that's here. and by food scene, i mean...the food scene popping out of the earth. i wanna be standing directly over green shoots of beet leaves and pulling those suckers out of the warm on top and cool underneath earth! i wanna be "disclosing" every perfect strawberry hiding from my big fat beefy fingers as i pluck them from stem. heck i even wanna be running in dizzying circles away from those helicopter-like bees that try to attack you as you try to reach for a blackberry - that kinda freaks me out - 'cause they (blackberries) look like those freakin' helicopter bees, until you realize they're not. this is the food scene i want us to be well planted in....pun intended!"
