Homestead Township is a civil township of Benzie County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,357 at the 2010 census. The township is situated in the center of the county. The village of Honor is located within the township on U.S. Highway 31.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 78.4km2, of which 78.2sqkm is land and 0.3sqkm, or 0.33%, is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 2,078 people, 790 households, and 594 families residing in the township. The racial makeup of the township was 94.47% White, 0.24% African American, 2.79% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.63% from other races, and 1.78% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.40% of the population.
