It is the mission of the Homewood Acres Fire Department to establish and maintain an Emergency Services Bureau to organize the community of Homewood Acres to plan and prepare for emergencies within the community and surrounding areas.
Our Mission:
To lessen the effects of disaster on the lives and property of the people of Homewood Acres through leadership, coordination and support in the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. To provide residents and visitors with a prompt response by a well trained workforce to protect property, save lives, conserve resources and improve quality of life by professional fire prevention and suppression, emergency medical care, special rescue, response to terrorism events, WMD/CBRNE/HAZMAT activity, and both public and private entity education services. To provide educational lifesaving training to residents and establish a fully functional and operational CERT program. To commit to mutual aid assistance to surrounding communities and other jurisdictions when requested and commit to pursue and maintain the professionalism, dedication, and training reflective of the first responder community.
