This place is the definition of hit or miss. We've been to Jang Won a dozen times or so at this point. The biggest issue we have with this restaurant is the inconsistency. Sometimes, the food tastes great, like a 5/5, but other times it gets as low as 2/5. The rate of this inconsistency is also fairly consistent - it's like flipping a coin. Also, we feel ambivalent about the overall dining experience. Sometimes, the server is well mannered, and kind, but other times it feels like they want to kick us out.

Good food, huge portions, happy eater!! I enjoyed this restaurant, was a little rushed by the waitress to decide on my meal but was happy with what I ordered. The flavoring was on point and the soup that came with it was simply delish!! Will definitely be going back!!Food: 5/5

Great jjajangmyun restaurant with huge portions. Loved the jjajangmyun here. We got the large jjajangmyun size and some fried rice, but it was way too much food and we could probably have just shared a regular size with the fried rice. Service was very quick, especially given we went on a weekend. It's located in the large Korean shopping area with open air parking.

This place is fast service and delicious food. Their large noodle dish is LARGE. I wasn't able to finish my large noodles. Their tangsuyuk was one of the best I've had. Bit lacking on side dishes but it makes up for it with the price, service, and taste. 100% recommend this place if you're looking for tasty, value food.

Fast and delicious!! Best Korean Chinese restaurant in Northern VA. Definitely worth getting the jajang myong here along with the pork Tangsuyuk. The service is fast and they also have a bell button if you need assistance. The servicing size is huge too. Could have easily split my bowl with my wife. Definitely worth the time and money to get food here.

Food was good, broth was good. Service was a little lacking. There were only 2 side dishes compared to other places we’ve been to. One dish with raw onions and pickled radish and one dish with spicy radishes. Majority of entrees have onions, lots of onions. Good portion size. Noodle dishes are the stars and same for dumplings.

Good tangsuyook and jjajang. I give it five stars but im not the biggest fan of the atmosphere here… always crowded.Food: 5/5

This place is related to the place in Annandale with the same name but under different management/ownership structure. The word is this is better but hard to tell tbh. This is one of the places recommended by Koreans if you want to try Korean-style Chinese food. It’s known for having one of the better jjamppong - the spicy, seafood noodle soup dish and a favorite among Koreans. There are other places that make better jjajjangmyun - the black sauce noodle dish. I had the jjaptangbop, which is assorted sautéed seafood served with rice, another popular dish. The portion was generous with plenty of seafood. However, the sauce was a bit too runny - it should have a thick texture. Perhaps they didn’t use enough potato starch. Also had jjajjangmyun that was decent with good portion. The fried dumplings was also crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. I order bokumbop fried rice for carry out and it came with jjajjangmyun sauce. This was the best of the lot. Huge portion and very nice. Overall a decent place. Friendly atmosphere and the food comes out very quickly. I would consider going back, but it’s a full 40-45 minute drive, so only if I’m in the area.

My family of 6 went there for the Father’s Day weekend and we were seated right away. Their service was supersonic fast. It took us 45 minutes in and out. I felt little rushed but I appreciated the fast service. The food was delicious! We had dumplings, black bean sauce noodles and seafood spicy noodle soup and sweet and sour pork and they were yum!

Came here a lot with my korean friends, but the food quality has been awful after the management change, not to mention a high jump in prices. In addition to the poor food quality, the young lady who works in the reception area, possibly a manager, needs to watch the way she treats her customers and employees. The several times we saw her, she always appeared angry and disinterested in customer's requests and comments, while also yelling at employees while we were eating. Such a disappointment and we are not coming back! There are new competitors nearby with much better food quality and service.
