The Finneytown school is a branch school of Grandmaster Hong Kong Kim's Black Belt Academy in West Chester, OH.
The Finneytown Branch of Hong Kong Kim's Black Belt Academy is led by Instructor and Fourth Degree Black Belt Robert Catanzaro and by Assistant Instructor and Third Degree Black Belt Timothy Williams, both trained by Grandmaster Hong Kong Kim.
The school is a traditional Korean Martian Arts school with a strong emphasis on the development of the students' mind and body.
The philosophy of Tae Kwon Do is incorporated into the physical training for the complete development of the student. Students learn to live the five tenants of Tae Kwon Do, Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.
In addition to a strong emphasis on the basics of Tae Kwon Do and its philosophies, students are taught self defense, weapons, Hap Ki Do (joint locks) and Judo (falls and take downs).
All belt promotion tests are held at the Main School in West Chester where Grandmaster Kim evaluates the progress of students. Successful students receive their best and a certificate signed by Grandmaster Kim.
Recommended for ages 7 and up, contact the Instructor for information about Tiny Tiger classes for children ages 4-6, held twice weekly.
Uniforms are $55 for sizes 00-4 and $65 for sizes 5+. Monthly tuition is $59 and students may attend as many days per week as they wish as long as they are participating in classes that are appropriate to their rank and plan. It is recommended that students attend at least twice a week. See the Instructor for information about family discounts.
Promotion tests are $60 and are held approximately every three months at the main school.
