The is the best library…..ever!! I’m a military brat and have traveled the world and have visited libraries everywhere. Hoover library is by far one of the best libraries around. The staff is very knowledgeable and all have such great customer service. They keep the latest and greatest books. This is a great asset to Jefferson county.
This is the best library in the county. I can spend hours in this library… They accommodate all aspects and areas. There is even a quiet space for students like me can study and and read. My only problem is the computers have been down for almost a month and getting my work done has been a challenge
The library is a fantastic place for children to play and learn. The staff are all highly professional and dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing environment for the kids. They understand the importance of early education and make sure that every child has the opportunity to explore, discover and grow. The play area is spacious and filled with engaging toys and activities.There are also plenty of books for kids to choose from, and the staff is always available to help them find the perfect one. In addition to playtime, the library also offers a variety of learning activities for. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about each activity, making sure that every child has a great time and learns something new. One of the most popular events at the library is the story time. The librarians do an excellent job of bringing the books to life and captivating the kids with their stories and songs. It's a great opportunity for kids to develop their listening skills, imagination and a love for books. Overall, this library is an exceptional place for kids to play, learn and grow. The professional staff, engaging activities, and wonderful atmosphere make it a must-visit for families
Great place serving the city of Hoover and Jefferson county, The two computer stations they have set up are fantastic. However, the computers closest to the checkout area tend to get more noisy. The staff are very helpful in finding anything you need or helping with a computer issue. I have recently requested a book be ordered and they got it for me in a matter of weeks. I was surprised. I know other library systems that would not help in a situation like that. They would refer you to Barnes and Nobles or Amazon. It is truly a great place to relax and get work done or simply read a book or two.
This is not just a library. It's a playground for kids, teenagers, and adults. You will find a large collection of books of any kind, board games, comics, magazines, specialty books and special spaces such as reading rooms, silence rooms, conference rooms, internet consulting, or common spaces. There is also a coffee shop that serves a good coffee and snacks. The people are very helpful and the restrooms are always clean. You can really pass hours of enjoyment here .
Hoover Public Library is the best library I have ever visited in my life and I have visited a lot of libraries. Consistently amazing events, wonderful librarians, café, use of space. Appreciate all the ways this library encourages reading, learning, growing, and having fun!
My family enjoyed going to the library. It's very large and spacious inside. The kids section has a great selection of books from first chapter books, board books, picture books and so on. There are toys and games to play with. You can checkout games and movies. They have a decent size large print section and audio books. The restrooms were clean and have changing stations. I got myself a new library card which was easy and fairly painless to get one. They have events and activities throughout the year so keep an eye on their website. Definitely go check it out, take your time and there are loads of things to read and look at.
This is a truly great library. It has fantastic staff that are extra helpful. The kids reading and play areas have puppets, games, technology, and a great book selection. There is also a modern work space for grown ups in the back with a coffee bar, quiet areas, etc. There is an outdoor deck which overlooks the lake. The entire library is friendly and feels comfortable and new. You feel at home there. They also have regular events and activities for all ages. They do a good job of getting the new best seller books, maintain a wait list, and even have a large selection of movies.
The Hoover library is an incredible place. Library resources galore, including books on any and every topic, audiobooks, board games, music CDs, "things" like yard games and appliances for checkout, a free puzzle exchange, the East 59 cafe, newspapers and magazines on the plaza, the awesome children's and teen departments, book clubs, free take home crafts from time to time, all kinds of fun and interesting events, and a free plant exchange! On top of all of that, the staff are some of my favorite people. I could go on and on. It's the best and the people are the best.
Going into the Hoover Library for the first time was exciting. We have been in Hoover since January and we are just now making our rounds. We were very excited to learn that books are available in many ways. I believe that their is something available for everyone in this place.
