Clean, comfortable, and quiet place to stay. I enjoyed getting to speak with other cancer patients and sharing prayers, triumphs, and meals together. The community has lots of volunteers that bring in food once in a while, therapy dogs, game night, and many other activities. Thank you for providing me with a room.
What they do for families is indespensibly priceless. I cannot say enough good things. The entire facility is setup to serve exactly what the patients and caregivers need. To say the amenities are convenient would be a gross understatement.
This is an excellent place to stay and all of the staff are excellent. It’s very clean warm and friendly.
Thank you to the American Cancer Society and the Tampa Hope Lodge for making our fight against this terrible disease a little easier. The Lodge staff was caring and wonderful, including the young night security guard who I had to call on when my husband had an emergency incident and had to be transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The accommodations were comfortable, neat and clean and the support that we received from both staff and others engaged in the same fight was immeasurable. "Thank you" does not seem adequate but it will have to do until we can pay if forward and rest assured that we will!
Met with the manager and a long-time volunteer. They are working hard to reopen after a pause during covid-19. The facility is large, clean and very welcoming. The staff is devoted and hard-working. They are poised to provide top caliber care to their guests.
Hope Lodge is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and is a place for cancer patients and their caregiver to stay while getting treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center. It's an opportunity for cancer patients to feel comfortable among their peers. The staff is amazing and helpful. The suites are perfect for 2 people. You are expected to keep your suite clean. You can prepare your own meals in well appointed kitchens. The only way you can be accepted at the Lodge is through referrals from social services at Moffitt. The rules are strict, but the environment at the Lodge is wonderful for people getting treatment and experiencing side effects from treatment.
The lodge is an amazing place. It's perfect for the needs of patience that need to be away from home for an extension. The only draw back was that I'd you feel to week or sick to leave the room they will not allow you to eat your meals in the rooms. You must come to the dinning Hall. That didn't work for us since my mother was wheelchair bound and everything was very high for her to cook for herself and clean up..not very ada compliant. On top of that my mother was weak so she couldn't always eave the rooms. But the staff was very accommodating and pleasant
Awesome place for those of us that live 2 hours away and walk to Moffitt it is very convenient . They have two kitchen upstairs and one big one on the first floor family room Screen patio. This place is very well maintained clean and you can do your own laundry . But the down for me is when my husband is to weaken to walk to the kitchen they do ask that you do not eat in the room. It's home away from home. Thank you Hope Lodge and Moffitt cancer center .
Hope Lodge provides no cost lodging to patients and their families when they are undergoing cancer treatments. The lodge is a home away from home to many for long periods of time. It is nicely decorated. The residents and staff are helpful and supportive of each other. Consider donating to the American Cancer Society to help them continue this benefit, as well as research and treatment.
