They handled my father's cremation. There are two adult heirs including me who should have been consulted on all decisions. The other heir was the only one consulted on the wording of the obituary. When I called to make a couple small changes, I was treated unkindly and unprofessionally. I am young and just lost my dad, and I was told that I could not make any changes without the other heir confirming even though I already made sure that the other heir was fine with it. There was a threat made to take the obituary down altogether. In addition, the ashes were distributed to the other heir without consulting me and before a payment was made. The phone call I had with John Hopko made it clear how dismissive, unkind, unsympathetic, and rude he/this business can be. If you work at a funeral home, you should learn how to deal with family issues which was not even a problem in our situation. I would also suggest you learn how to at least fake some empathy if you work with people who just lost loved ones every day.
I can't say enough about the Quality of service offered here! My mother's funeral service was held here; Everything was perfect! People complemented me on how Beautiful she looked, &, on the Entire service. I told them; it wasn't me, it was John Hopko. I couldn't have asked for Anything better! He is very professional, & yet very personal. This was our second time for coming here, her husband's service was nearly 5 yrs. ago. I felt like I was with a Trusted Friend; comfortable, & consoled.
The Hopko Family always is professional and courteous. They have helped us arrange funerals for many relatives who have passed on.
Great working with a person who can take you thru all steps of a funeral. Didn’t have to leave office.
