About Us

Obstetrics

We manage high and low risk pregnancies. We do all of our deliveries at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. High risk pregnancies are co-managed with Boston Maternal Fetal Medicine. Ultrasounds and routine labs are performed in our Brockton and Bridgewater offices, as well as at the hospital. Some of the more common high risk conditions we manage in pregnancy include hypertension (including preeclampisa), diabetes, twins, thyroid conditions and asthma.

Gynecology

We manage a variety of gynecologic conditions including well woman exams and routine vaccinations (flu, Tdap, HPV). We also evaluate and manage symptoms and conditions related to the breasts, reproductive, urinary, and bowel systems. Examples of some common conditions we see include:

- Problems with menstrual periods including cycle regularity, pain, headaches and recurrent infections
- Urinary incontinence, painful and or frequent urination, urinary tract infections
- Pelvic pain, constipation, sexual pain, pelvic organ prolapse
- Infertility
- Recurrent yeast and/or bacterial infections
- Contraception

Our major gynecologic surgeries are performed at Good Samaritan Medical Center by Dr. Aslami, including minimally invasive robotic surgery. Robotic surgery allows patients to recover from major gynecologic surgery including hysterectomy much faster, and with less pain and better cosmetic outcomes, than traditional surgery.

Office procedures performed for the diagnosis and management of abnormal pap smears and abnormal uterine bleeding include colposcopy, LEEPs, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation. We also offer office based tubal ligation.

We recommend a comprehensive cancer risk assessment yearly for all women to search for clues which may point to a possible hereditary cancer syndrome. We offer testing for hereditary cancer syndromes. For those women who have an elevated risk for cancer unrelated to a hereditary syndrome, we offer additional screening and cancer risk reduction strategies, particularly for breast, ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers.

Menopause management

Many women experience a variety of symptoms as they transition out of their reproductive years and into menopause. Commonly encountered symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep, mood changes, sexual pain, loss of sexual desire, weight gain, acne, unwanted hair growth, poor concentration, forgetfulness, bone loss, muscle aches, joint pains, increased frequency of urinary tract infections and vaginal infections, to name a few. Many women and their families are frustrated by their symptoms, and fearful of traditional hormone replacement therapy. We offer a balanced approach to these problems, and will discuss a variety of treatment options including vitamins, supplements, nutrition, bioidentical hormone replacement, traditional hormone replacement, medications and lifestyle changes to help women regain their sense of self and well being.

Adolescent gynecology

Teenagers experience a variety of physical and psychological changes as they transition from childhood into young adults. Frequently, they experience irregular, painful menstrual cycles, headaches, mood swings, acne, fatigue and weight gain. Many teens begin sexual exploration, putting themselves at risk for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy. We want to partner with teens to help them understand and care for their bodies in the most safe, effective and manageable ways.

Sexual Dysfunction

Sexual dysfunction affects women and men of all ages. The most common problem seen in women is loss of sexual desire. Other common problems include decreased sexual arousal, sexual pain, and difficulty or absence of orgasm. Frequently seen sexual problems in men include erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and loss of desire. We treat all aspects of female sexual dysfunction. We can perform initial evaluations on men, and refer them to urologists and other specialists if needed.

Wellness

We are committed to helping women and their families pursue health and wellness through optimizing nutrition, identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies, detoxifying from pollution and pesticides, balancing hormones, sleeping better, managing stress, losing weight, and making daily choices with regards to food, food preparation and storage, personal care and hygiene products so as to minimize toxin exposure.

Do you ever wonder if gluten free is for you? Should you avoid GMOs (genetically modified organisms)? Should you take a probiotic? Vitamins? Fish oil? Hormones? Eat paleo? Do you have chronic health conditions (for example, asthma, allergies, fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, headaches, PMS, poor sleep, the list goes on and on) that you would like to approach from a nutritional perspective? We are here to help guide you through the evidence regarding nutrition and toxins as they relate to chronic diseases and wellness.

Went to this office for the first time today. The woman at the front desk, the medical assistant, and Dr Eslami were all wonderful! I felt comfortable instantly there and they were all very personable, knowledgeable and kind. Dr Eslami seemed to really listen and also explained things so much better than my previous Dr. So far I am very happy I switched to this Dr!
Im not a patient but I made an appointment for my daughter almost 2 months ago. She was having some very hard, personal issues, which I explained, and the young woman who helped me when I called was amazing. She was kind, caring and assured me that they would do their best to help my daughter out. And they did just that. From the moment we walked in I was greeted by the same young woman that made the appointment I asked! So sorry I forgot your name! She even went as far as to call our primary care office and retrieve the referral information for me because I expressed how stressed out I was about possibly receiving a bill. By the time we came out of the exam room she had the confirmation numbers ready for me! Such a relief. The medical assistant was also very sweet and caring, I can’t stress it enough. The whole visit was thorough, informative and compassionate, on everyone’s part. Deb the doctor we saw was also nothing short of amazing as well!! So funny, kind and genuinely seems like she cares. All in all a great experience and we feel blessed to have found this practice.
I had a wonderful experience at Horizons Health today. I was a little nervous because I had read some bad reviews about one of the practitioners. From the front desk staff to the medical assistant wish I could remember her name it was great. The P.A., Debra Palfrey, was professional, thorough in her exam and most important to me, listened to me! I will be back!
7 months it's taken to try and get care from this doctor but she just keeps putting it off. I'm not listened to or heard from this doctor at all and now it's at the point I have to go to the ER because she yet again refused to cut a cyst I've had for 7 months out of me and I can't walk anymore. Everyone else at this office has been amazing and nice to me. But the doctor really just ignores me.
I did not feel understood or listened to during this doctor's visit. Every time this practice calls me, the person on the phone is always talking to someone else while I am on the phone. I feel disrespected and misunderstood whenever I come in. My most recent visit was the worst. The doctor did explain medical issues well and in a simple manner that I could understand. However, she did not explain the medications she wanted me to take efficiently at all, and perhaps assumed I knew all about this medication based on a visit I had six months back where somebody briefly explained this medication option to me. This appointment has given me much stress and anxiety in regards to going back to this place, as I feel I will be looked down upon and misunderstood. At a previous meeting, they suggested I take a supplement that may help with some medical issues I had been having. I was unaware that they were selling this supplement, and the side effects made me dizzy, nauseous, shaky, and gave me a headache for a week. At one point, I almost fainted. When the side effects subsided, I continued with this supplement until I realized that it hadn't done anything the doctors said it would for me. This is just my experience with this medication and with this doctor and all my experiences are my own.
Dr. Aslami and her team is incredibly thorough, caring and responsive. They listened to my concerns about my issues and were invested in finding the best resolution. The office and entire team is warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful! I am so glad to have found Horizon Health & Wellness.
I am loving my experience in Dr Aslami. She and her staff are kind and caring. What a magical group of people, thorough, warm to your concerns and very knowledgeable. Shout out to Jenny an Holly. You both are so "patient".
Gyn- only one doctor. Tried to get me to spend $700 on blood tests just so I could get a referral to a cardiologist. If that doesn’t tell you anything, look at the multi level marketing products in the waiting room. Ask them who the upline to the products are. You cannot buy them retail in bulk unless you work for the companies. She’s a money maker and her NPs have a huge turnover.
I was seen by PA, Jenny Ferbee. I was delighted by her friendly, warm, and thorough manner. She took the time to really talk with me and ask about my health concerns. She put me in touch with the staff nutritionist, Frank. She also made suggestions to help better address issues I was having with medications prescribed by my primary physician. I was treated like a human being and I have new hope that I will be able to overcome my health challenges. It was very validating to deal with truly caring health professionals. My experience at Horizons Health is the way it should be done!
Felt comfortable and very much understood. Had to back after my yearly for kind of an priority worry and Ana not sure if I got the name right but she's the NP, she was really understanding and offered the important information in regards. I definitely recommend Horizons Health & Wellness and their Healthcare Team!!
