Located in Hornell, NY, the Hornell City Fire Department IAFF Local 835 consists of 23 professional firefighters dedicated to protecting life and property 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our roster includes the Fire Chief, 4 Captains, and 18 firefighters. The department runs 4 shifts that include 1 Captain and 4-5 FF's. We serve the citizens of the City of Hornell and surrounding areas with a wide range of services including structural fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical service, long distance interfacility transport, ALS intercepts, motor vehicle extrication, technical rescue, water and ice rescue, arson investigation, as well as fire prevention education and code enforcement. All firefighters are trained to at least the EMT- B level, with 2 trained as AEMT-CC's and 13 as AEMT-Paramedics.
