Our mission is to provide care, support, advocacy and education to people in Erie County impacted by serious illness and loss.
Hospice Buffalo serves individuals with serious illnesses, and those they love, regardless of age, setting, diagnosis, and ability to pay. We provide an integrative, holistic (physical, emotional, social, and spiritual) approach to care that focuses on the whole person rather than individual symptoms. Our compassionate staff helps patients make choices about their care, supports those who are grieving, and educates the professional and lay communities on end-of-life issues.
We’re one of the largest non-profit hospice and palliative (comfort) care organizations in the nation, serving over 900 patients daily in their homes, hospitals, and nursing homes throughout Erie County, and our Mitchell Campus in Cheektowaga, NY.

"Here at Hospice, we care for individuals suffering from life-limiting illness, with a prognosis of six months or less. Hospice care provides comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care that is tailored to an individual’s and family's needs and wishes when seeking comfort versus curative treatment. Our palliative care team works with patients’ physicians to help manage symptoms and related issues to reduce stress and improve quality of life."
