The 23,000 square foot building is situated on a 10-acre site surrounded by woods and wetlands, giving it an “up north” feel in an urban location. Stone Mountain offers dog, cat and exotic animal boarding, doggy day dare, dog and cat grooming, dog training and a full retail store for dog and cat food, treats and pet supplies.Lodging is available 365 days a year. Our lodging business cycles in a way that is similar to a hotel, with our busiest times occurring on weekends, holidays, spring vacation and the summer months.Stone Mountain Pet Lodge added Doggy Day Care in 2009. I brought my cat Linus for overnight lodging in the atrium room at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge in Blaine, MN, while we were out of town recently. I also paid extra for some cuddle time for him. I tried calling that evening to get an update on Linus but since it was after-hours, it gave an option to go to voicemail but for some reason it was saying it was the Brooklyn Park location before the voicemail message so I didn't leave a message since he was at the Blaine location. I really wish they would give more communication or a report of some sort to let me know how he did. I was disappointed that they don't take photos either. For the price I paid, I would've expected at least a photo or a report of his stay at the very least. Because of the little bit of information I received, I'm not quite sure how he did or if he got much attention, ate well, or played much. It's hard being away from my fur baby, so I really wished I would have been informed more in detail about how he did during his stay. The staff seemed fairly friendly, though.
Stone Mountain Blaine is awesome! Our 2.5 year old lab Max absolutely loves going to see his friends at doggy daycare and he’s there probably 15 days a month. All the staff are great from the front desk/retail folks to the daycare staff that wrangle the insanity! Needless to say, Max comes home worn out and ready to sleep We’ve had nothing but positive experiences over the years and don’t hesitate to leave our crazy lab with them anytime we head out of town. They really care and take great care of all the pets they watch.
We have been so happy with all of the care for our dog that she has received from Stone Mountain! She loves going to doggy daycare and also lodging with the SM team! They are all so kind, caring and attentive to not only pets, but also pet owners. Thanks Stone Mountain for taking great care of our favorite pup!
I had my two lil ferrets stay here for 7 1/2 days. I ended up putting them in one of the cat atriums and let me tell y’all the people here will go above and beyond to make sure you and your animals are comfy! I have always been extremely cautious when trusting people with my ferrets due to them being exotic and high maintenance, but I definitely made the right decision! Before I left the workers noticed that they might be able to squeeze through the cracks in the enclosure you can reserve a penthouse btw which does not have cracks they can squeeze throughso we tested it and sure enough they could. They made sure to stay until after closing just to make sure they were safe and sound in there and taped cardboard and tested each gap. They were truly wonderful! I called them while I was gone, and was so happy to learn that everyone really loved them and that they got lots of attention! They even remembered me when I came to pick them up! My ferrets seemed really happy there and needless to say next time I need a pet sitter I am 100% coming back here!
Not once, but twice they improperly collared and harnessed my dog choking him as they brought him out to me. My dogs were supposed to be kenneled together but they weren't. They mislabeled the kennels and fed the dogs the wrong food. Not impressed. My dogs always come home stressed out.
On December 27, 2022, I picked up my dog after his stay and was horrified to find that he had multiple areas of cuts bleeding on his body. When I examined his cage, I found it was covered in blood, and upon further examination, I discovered that other cages were similar. I asked to file a complaint, the employee told me after she had came back from the back that she had filed it. when i came back to get a copy, I found out that the employee lied and did not file it. I asked to speak with the manager and The employee told me that the manager, Amber, was not in, but when I came back to ask another question, another employee said that Amber was there. I spoke to Amber about my dog's condition, the employee lying about filing a report and her not being there and Amber responded with a rude and insensitive attitude, made excuses, and called me out of my name. Furthermore, they provided little information about the incidents that led to my dog's condition. I was lied to multiple times and treated disrespectfully. Despite my attempts to contact them through calls and emails, I have been consistently ignored and given excuses for not being able to talk. My dog had to be taken to the vet, where it was determined that the excuses given by the staff were false. My dog's tail was sprained, he was limping on his right leg, and had bloodied scratches on his testicles and mouth. I will never bring my dog back to this place again. My dog is incredibly sweet and was not even one year old yet. I cannot understand how he could have been in such a bad condition. I strongly advise anyone who picks up their dog from this place to inspect the cage they were in and check for notes on their dog's condition. I am deeply disappointed by the cruelty that some individuals, particularly those working with dogs, inflict upon our pets. It is unacceptable and goes against the trust and responsibility we entrust to them to care for our pets. It is our duty as pet owners to ensure that they are treated with love and respect and it is disheartening when those in positions of care for animals fail to uphold these standards. Please take a closer look at the refuse that aren't 4 and 5 stars. it is completely unsettling to see that this continues to happen. To this day, they are not wiling to resolve the issue due to my review.
Nothing makes me more sad than having to leave a member of our family behind on a trip. Especially with people who don't understand the difficult journey Eli's life has been. This was our first experience with Stone Mountain but not with a boarding facility. The prices are high but comparable to the area. When we got home I had a hand written note about how well our dog was and how much they enjoyed giving him belly rubs and cuddles. This melted my heart and made me feel better about leaving him there. The only thing that would make our experience better is more pictures/video/written updates on how he did. It's hard with "bigger" boarding facilities to know who actually took care of your baby. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, care and attention to detail. Great job Stone Mountain! Be sure to have your photo ID on you for pick up and drop offs, they take detailed notes of supplies left for your pooch, and they remove your dogs collar while they're inside the kennel. It is also recommended to bring in your own food. I definitely recommend the Blaine location for its professionalism and care.
I have brought both my dogs here for over a year now and they love it. The daycare and boarding services are great. The staff are so kind and attentive. I love the Blaine location!
Did wonderful with our dog, Yuna, 3 years old. Making her feel comfortable & welcomed. Great prices. Give you coupons after the stay to encourage to buy her a toy. Great customer service & answered the phone when we checked in EVERY time. 11/10 recommend to our friends of furry kiddos!
