Hotchkiss Mobiles was founded by Joel Hotchkiss in Oakland, CA in 1981. His wife, Sandra joined in running the business in 1983. Over a 35 year span Joel has designed a wide range of mobile designs for residential and commercial spaces and are sold in Galleries and Museum Stores nationwide including the San Francisco MOMA and the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. The Mobile Studio, now located in West Stockbridge, MA is where all the mobiles are created.
The Gallery features a unique selection of Jewelry, Clothing, Crafts and mobiles designed by Joel Hotchkiss for both indoors and out. The
Workshop/Studio is open to the public on weekends for visitors to walk in and experience one of the most unique works-spaces in America dedicated singly to the "art of mobile making".
