I rarely write reviews of hotels but this one certainly deserves it. I stayed here on business recently and had quite a terrible experience. The room was certainly tidy and simple, which is all I needed. The first issue came when I misplaced my room key. The front desk is not 24/7, so I called the "emergency" number listed around 9:30pm when I first noticed and asked for a room key to be made and left out front by the door for me to pick up when I returned as they had been doing for other guests. When I got back to the hotel around 11:30pm, there was no key for me waiting. I called the emergency contact numbers multiple times to no answer went straight to voicemail. Eventually, I began seriously considering calling the Aspen Police as I had valuables and medication in the room. Finally, I was able to get through after 15-20 minutes of calling, and the lady told me that she had left my door unlocked. Instead of making me a new key and leaving it, they decided to unlock the door to my hotel room and leave it wide open, putting everything inside the room at risk. The infrastructure in the hotel is quite dated as well, and there are loud pipes that make it tough to fall asleep, as well as very poor drainage in the shower. Besides these issues, the hotel was relatively clean and the breakfast was solid. I also appreciate the free parking. The lack of attentiveness and security concerns me, and I would recommend going elsewhere if possible while in Aspen.
My husband and I loved staying here! It’s very homey. The hot tub was secluded and had nice views. Awesome staff. Great breakfast. Overall just very pleasant! Probably my favorite hotel I’ve been to because of its smaller, locally owned feeling.Rooms: 5/5
My husband and I loved our brief stay. The owner personally assisted us with our RV parking and storage of our bikes. The location in Aspen was perfect and we loved the lobby/breakfast! I would recommend a microwave to heat the wonderful pastries! Our room had a separate living area and the bed was very comfy! We’ll hope to return someday!!
OK, this place is a GEM!!! Gorgeous little spot, perfect location in walking distance to everything downtown Aspen has to offer. Really lovely and clean decor. The room was clean and comfortable, bed super cozy, and that shower!!!! That is a huge plus of this property. It was also really nice and quiet, and we loved the big balcony in our room. The continental breakfast was above and beyond too, and the staff was friendly. Totally recommend, and will definitely be back!
Decent for the price and location. Felt like the focus was more on the decor than the functionality. Stayed in a standard room and it was pretty small. I do appreciate the intention to add storage with what was given, however the space probably should have only had one bed instead of cramming in the two doubles. We could hear noises from above as we were placed in a lower level room and one of the nights, the toilet overflowed with soap suds in the middle of the night so potentially some type of plumbing issues. Overall it was a short stay and we weren't looking for anything too elaborate, but likely we won't stay here again in the future.
Nice overall. Tiny rooms small hallways. Have to kneel on floor if you want to plug in phone. Some rooms have microwave some don't. You'd think all rooms would for the price you pay. Bed was comfortable. My linens were damp and the pillows almost wet. Had to use hair dryer to get them dry. Nice selection of breakfast foods.
This place is a gem. Perfect location for walking to town and lifts. Rooms were very clean and lots of charm. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day. The lobby is quaint and nice touch with the fireplace. Staff was very helpful and hard working. Would stay here again. C and J from Kauai
