We travel to this area often. Not a bad stay, but definitely our last. ONLY hotel/motel we’ve ever stayed in that does not have free coffee in the lobby. Not available until 6:30 and the snippy woman at the overpriced breakfast area tried to charge me for it!!!!! Fortunately we found a great breakfast place nearby. Will look at other options for our next visit here. Walkability: Yes
The staff at Hotel Dello is so friendly and accommodating. My organization hosted a conference here in Fort Lauderdale, and Hotel Dello was by far the best choice for value, location and accommodations. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and make our stay, rooms and meeting space comfortable. The facilities are clean and attractive, and they are in the process of remodeling all of their rooms. It is so conveniently located close to the airport, but also within a few minutes of some great restaurants, the beach and the everglades. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a place to stay!
This is my second time at this location and definitely will not be the last. The customer service is great and this is one of the very few places in the area that doesn’t charge you a resort fee or a parking fee. Location is convenient if you need to get quick to the airport, beaches, port, Hard rock Casino, Dania Casino, nice breakfast spots and more nearby. Erika at the counter night shift on Thursday and Friday September 28 & 29th was AMAZING! She was very kind and accommodating from the time I made the call to check availability for a very late check out with my son due to an early appointment we’ve had on Friday and we were driving 2 hours south to stay there. We are FL residents. Thank you Erika!!! The lady who unfortunately I didn’t get her name on Friday and Saturday Morning shift at the counter was also great and nice. I was very pleased with both of their service at the guest counter. Rooms: Spacious, updated , comfortable bedding and pillows. Nearby activities: There’s a museum, beaches nearby Walkability: Within walking distance you have a retail plaza as well as pizza shop, ice cream parlor, diners, antique stores etc.
DISCLAIMER: I stayed here for one night before getting on a cruise ship at Fort Lauderdale. We drove to the hotel, then drove to the port to leave the car. A good portion of my ratings for hotels are based off the bathrooms. This is because showering away from home is already a very uncomfortable situation, so the bathrooms must be in tip-top shape to improve the rating. BATHROOM: Not awesome, but fair. The shower didn't have a door - but rather, half a glass wall. The shower head had no pressure and couldn't be turned, so I had to stand inches from the wall to reach the water. The towels were extremely rough and came pre-stained. Needless to say, I absolutely hated this bathroom and the way it was set up, but luckily I didn't have to stay for very long. ROOM: The bed was comfortable - the mattress/pillows not too soft, not too firm. I do prefer firmer pillows, but I didn't let this affect the rating. The window was huge with a fairly decent view. The TV was large and the nightstands had an outlet on them, for easy phone charging. AREA: There are a few decent places within walking distance of the hotel. Definitely aimed toward locals, but good food. The area definitely isn't "great", with random shopping carts full of indistinguishable plastic bags/garage or bus stops with broken glass, but nothing terrible or frightening. PARKING: There is NO ROOM for parking! The parallel parking spaces at the front are available to those who had booked a room. If there's one available - TAKE IT! The "parking garage" to the left has maybe 8-10 tiny spaces. If those are full, the only other parking available is the parking garage next door, but ONLY the 3rd floor. Good luck! Food & drinks: There is a bar downstairs with a good selection of food/drink/amenities. There is a pool on the second floor with a strange fake-grass section with lawn chairs.
Nice hotel it’s right by the airport about 10 min away. The food choices got so much better they have a lot of different stuff even salmon that’s always good!! The only thing I wish was better is a later check out for diamond members cause they only give the standard 1 hour extra like if I wasn’t a member! Other Hilton hotels give you more and even ask if you wanna leave at a later time cause of your flight they will work with you. I ask the lady at the desk for a 2pm check out cause normal check out is at 12 noon she said that would be an extra night charge hopefully they will be better in the future with the late checkout
Great hotel and location. The food and drinks were amazing. Especially the bar area I liked the most, bartender Nara was very professional and friendly, and she did a great job making those drinks for me and my friends while we were staying at the hotel. We just loved it! Would definitely recommend checking it out!Rooms: 5/5
I stay at this hotel anytime I am working in the area. It is clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. No place is perfect because it's not home but they make you feel like you are visiting a friend. They are working on the hotel but it didn't affect my stay at all. I have seen some real messes when hotels are going through renovations. Love the size of the rooms even though the bathrooms are a little on the small size. The a/c isn't right by the desk but rather in the ceiling which is a huge plus for me. I will continue to stay here whenever I am working nearby.
Traveled here with a small group for a nearby festival. Rooms were solid and parking wasn’t an issue. Highly recommend the hotel bar — Nara and Enzo made great drinks & kept us entertained. The food was also great. Would definitely stay here again next time that I’m in the area.
Great hotel in a nice location. Super friendly staff. I was here as a chaperone for our area’s girls volleyball team and the bartender Mandy was awesome. She helped me find places to take the girls to eat and even called one of the local restaurant owners and he opened a little early one day and made us a great lunch for the girls. Highly recommend this place
I stayed there for one night, and I had the most horrible experience. During the check-in, I was asked if I want to use $30 toward my account or for a daily credit - I answered towards my account. Meanwhile I paid with cash for 2 soda. The bed was uncomfortable and when I mentioned that to the front desk manager I’ve heard “You should say it before” How can you guess if the bed is ok or not? Parking garage under serious construction. But that is not the issue. Apparently $30 can't be transferred for points- they didn’t refund the money we paid and said it’s impossible. She was rude, racist and antisemitic. She fight with us because she had a conclusion we cursed her on a language she doesn’t understand. I left the hotel being yelled by the manager for sharing my experience Shame for Hilton.
