Houghton Lake Public Library

Loved coming to this library. In the morning it was quiet, so I was able to easily study and get my work done. I loved having a seat by the large windows overlooking M55!

The weather was perfect. Air bnb was good. Everything you need was convenient. Some walking distance. People were friendly. Me and my wife spent 2 nights. You would want to spend a week there! It's idea to book a place a couple months in advance. Thank you to Houghton Lake for a great time!

Employees are the best! Very friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond. After school programs are awesome! My son always has fun, never a complaint. They have ever thing from books to dvd, computers for adults and computers for kids with video games on them. Keep up the great work!

Touch a truck was so much fun. Thank you for the fun community events. Last year we were here for the petting zoo too.

Great staff! Friendly, very knowledgeable and always willing to take that extra step to help find what you're looking for. The "new" director not only changed the look of the library with wonderful remodeling, redecorating, but presents herself available any time. If you haven't been there, you need to!

Stopped at the library today to get a library card as I'm a recent arrival and they had been closed for a while because of the pandemic. I met with an employee who was helpful and courteous. The building was bright and cheerful and appeared very clean. I believe I will be happy to make this new spot a part of my new life

Impressive selection of books on CD. Library is well supplied and very friendly helpful staff. Especially Jennifer who works at the front checkout desk.

Helpful staff got my kids the books they were looking for and put them on waiting lists for the books that weren't currently in. Clean and inviting place with lots of fun activities coming up on their calendar.
