I went looking for cat supplies. Not a big selection of it. Not a big selection for dig items either. This store had supplies for rabbits, reptiles and birds. They sell snakes, birds, fish, reptiles, spiders. Nice store but not for what I was looking for. This is the reason I gave it 4 instead of five. If this is what your searching for it's a great store for you.
The manager was incredibly informative and helpful! She assisted me in purchasing a pacman frog and enclosure and I was very impressed with her customer service. Their prices are a tad higher, but they offset that with excellent service and knowledge. They have an excellent assortment of frogs, reptiles, fish, and small critters. I've seen some very unqiue exotic animals here on multiple occasions. Highly recommended!
The staff here is amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that the animals welfare is put over making a sale. Any store that makes you prove you can properly care for an animal before you can take it home is raising the bar for other pet stores in the area. I would absolutely recommend getting your pets and pet supplies from House of Pets!!
Purchased two red eyed tree frogs, and I was very pleased at how knowledgeable Rachel was! She said I could call if I have any questions once I bring them home. Little did I know I had to call her the next day because one of my tree frogs changed color and she reassured me that it was probably a temperature change that caused one of my frogs to change. Once I brought the temperature up in the tank, my frog changed immediately back to his bright green color . The store was clean and they have a variety of animals to choose from. Their cricket prices are also cheaper in comparison to large chain pet stores. Very Happy with House of Pets!
Amazing store!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selections, animal friendly policies to ensure they only sell to responsible pet owners despite the rotten Karen's who yell about having to buy the things necessary to care for the animals. It was an amazing experience as we can't wait to come back.
Had a great experience and learned a lot about our new saltwater tank!
i buy all my hamster stuff here to build her natural enclosure with a proper 11in silent wheel, eco logs, and cork logs. everything to have that forrest feel in my hamster tank
Worst pet store I’ve ever been to my aunt had purchased a Parrot there years ago when I was little without me, knowing about it at the time the parrot died. My mother told me later on after I had purchased parakeets from there and they had also died and other animals as well, they are very rude and unprofessional, I’ve also spoke to other people over the years and they’ve told me similar stories about this facility. If you’re thinking of going to House of pets in Garden City good luck.
Very nice pet store. Friendly and helpful employees. H.O.P has a variety of pet's from fish,birds,snakes,hamsters,cats and more. We went in to get our Teddy Bear Hamster some Food,Snacks and things for her cage. Prices are much better than a couple other pet stores we've been to so this had been our new place to go. It's also nice to have this pet store close to go to in our area
I absolutely love this place! The customer service is great and they are very knowledgeable about the animals. I have purchased my second set of rats. They are very healthy and absolutely adorable! This place is wonderful.
