This place is so great! It's truly a hidden gem, mom and pop shop. Fred is really friendly and everyone else I've talked to, and the food is SOO good!! Most special of all though: I needed a Minnie mouse birthday cake for my daughter's 1st Birthday and asked Fred if he could make it; and not only did he go above and beyond with trying to make sure the cake was perfect, but he wanted to make it "really special" because "1st birthdays are really special". And he did! He did such a great job, and we payed WAY less than what I expected to pay for such a beautiful cake that he obviously put alot of time, effort, and care into! Awesome bakery! If you've never been, you should really check it out. I've never really gone to bakeries for much of anything before, but my husband and I are both about to be regulars regulars here; it's worth it.
I love this place amazing pastries and their bread is to die for. It is a small Mom Pop locally owned Bakery but I'm afraid that they are going to have to consolidate or move. They do not get good foot traffic at all in their location most people drive by never knowing they even exist. It's very sad but this is what happens when you do not work to get your name out there. Amazing Baker absence of marketing skills
When Fred says his bakery makes good challah, he's right. We ordered 10 loaves in a variety of plain, raisin and cranberry for Friday evening at a recent seminar. All flavors were good enough to pass the discriminating tastes of our toughest critic in the congregation.
GO TO A DIFFERENT BAKERY. The baker forgot to make my daughter's cake. Instead of making it right, or apologizing - blamed me and said I was too early for pickup. He specifically said it would *be ready for pickup at noon and to pickup at noon or later.* When I got there there was no cake, girl at counter said "You said you needed it by 6pm, he's still out buying the stuff." I was left crying in the parking lot and drove home without a cake for my baby's 1st Birthday. I will not be going here again. All it would have taken was an "I'm sorry" to make it ok. Dishonest and didn't even try to come through on getting me the cake. sad face.
The best doughnuts around! They're always out of the chocolate doughnut but with good reason, it's that good. You can always call the day before and make sure they put some on hold for you. The sticky buns are also a really good alternative if they're out of the chocolate goodies.
My son and I stop in every morning before I take him to school and the owner is always so nice. Everything tastes amazing and we always look forward to starting our morning with something warm and delicious from this wonderful neighborhood bakery
Fred and his family are so kind and will talk to you like your their family friend. And not to mention his peanut butter cookies are the best I've ever had.
I stop by here on the way to work for a loaf of bread or the amazing cinnamon rolls love the home-made topping and pecans! and wanted to say thank you and recommend this bakery to others.
Try the pesto bread! Scrumptious! The store is next to a small country store so you almost miss it. Nice owner, small town familiar feel... Love it!
