Very nice but it's a shame the Mayor r has no respect for Houston's history along with "judge" Hildalgo. They let bums parade and takeover the City Hall at night instead of having events for children, security, and food trucks to make this a festive and inclusive part of downtown. Thankfully, the bums are not violent and will leave you alone for most part
The grass in the front is always keep trimmed. They have a beautiful walking area with a fountain. There is plenty of parking and phones can be charged around the hall. Houston TX just made the civil side just that much more safe. There are some mosquitos but it's the bayou.
It’s was nice and good Also the weather is good too .
A nice place for food and wine of all kinds and above all for the terrace where you can look at Houston with its skyscrapers. Nice people, comfortable with services, an excellent point of arrival and departure for visiting the city.
I watched a video on YouTube. It's so sad when a Gunnery sergeant Don't even know the basic laws. Just goes to show you they will give anybody a badge and gun.
First I'd like to say that I've never been inside the building, however, I've been around the area and park right across from it. It's a nice and calm area one can enjoy if the weather permits.
Houston City Hall located on Hermann Square was built in the stripped neo-classical style by the Worker's Progress Administration WPA in the 1930s. The City of Houston Visitor's Center is located on the north Walker St. side of the building. They have a gift shop and brochures on attractions in the Greater Houston area.
Beautiful display for the passing of Queen Elizabeth
I’m not even sure how many reviews have been done on city governments. But here goes. We had a major roach problem in our apartment for years. We cleaned and sprayed and fogged but it did little good. When we moved into our remodeled apartment in our complex the bugs came with us. We didn’t know that roaches love cardboard boxes and paper. We had a lot of our stuff in cardboard boxes. And, in addition to feuding with our management office over their inability to help us, we had to deal with multiple city of Houston agencies. From the mayor at the top all the way down to agencies such as the Greater Houston Fair Housing Center we encountered lies, stupidity, ignorance, and repeated refusals to help us. Early on in the conflict I contacted the Houston Fair Housing Office and spoke to their Administrative Coordinator. She assured me that they could help us and told me to write a demand letter to our apartment manager requesting that they fix the bug problem. The Administrative Coordinator said we were perfectly within our rights as tenants to do this and her agency would back us up. But after the certified letter was ignored by the manager I called this Administrative Coordinator and she changed her story and said that all she could do was call 311 and file a report! Hell, I could have saved the months I spent taking her lame advice and do that myself. Another worthless city of Houston agency is the Multi-Family Habitability & Investigations Dept.. Their name implies that they would investigate issues in apartment complexes but they didn’t raise a finger to help either. Another useless agency was the Citizen Assistant Office. The Neighborhood Liaison for our part of the city acted like she may do something but in the end she was a total wash-out. Even the Mayor of the city of Houston, who I eventually reached out to in final desperation, just had his lackeys refer me to someone else. But I ultimately learned that the apartment industry, at least in Texas, abides by their own set of rules. And almost no one, including attorneys and city personnel, have the balls to go up against them. A long-time friend and former teacher of mine, who is a very successful attorney for the "enemy" landlords told me that in Texas apartment tenants almost always lose out to landlords and management companies if they go to court. But there is a silver lining to all of this. It’s because of screw-ups like these that I have decided to use my writing business for investigative reporting and consumer issues. See you on the web.
The only problem we encountered was that all seats around the pond were occupied by our homeless friends.
