I had an exceptional experience at the hospital during my recent healthcare journey. The Emergency Room staff was prompt, attentive, and made me feel at ease despite the circumstances. The CT and MRI scans were conducted with precision, and the medical team took the time to explain the procedures and answer my questions. Throughout my hospital stay, the care I received was compassionate and thorough, ensuring my comfort and well-being. The mobile PET scan service was incredibly convenient, it brings advanced imaging technology. I'm truly grateful for the outstanding care I received across all aspects of my healthcare experience.
It's a mixed bag. Took forever in E.R. and took even longer for an actual room. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful but there are certain nurses that seem to not care. If it weren't for the friendly nurses and good care, this would be barely a two star review. *Edit* Cafeteria only serves lunch and breakfast. Waffle house is a 6 minute walk down the street, and Krystals is right across the street from the main entrance. Both open 24/7 however hospital doors close at 9P.M.
We came to ER two hrs a go. Husband was sent here by Dr office. He has three blood clots in his left leg…. Still no rooms ready no Dr ready to see him!! When I asked how long the wait was normally running today….. ONLY been four people in waiting room!’ The lady was rud as hell!!! She is a black lady with big eyelashes ‍. I understand you can not give me a time but how about….. I sure hope it won’t be very long…. I just can not say for sure…. Can I get you something while you wait???! Warm blanket heck anything!!! . So here we are right at three hrs!!! Four people and NO ONE TO HELP!!
Waited over 3 hours in the ER in pain puking my guts out just to find out that they were full. They only called one person back the whole time I was there. You should give realistic wait times and let people know that you are full and can not accept any more patients. Also going on diversion for ambulances. That way you can get people who are in the waiting room in. Never go to this ER
I come in at 1:30 with a known history of heart disease here at this facility, which is why I came. When I arrived the very first thing I observed was that the waiting room was full. That was no problem. People are sick and need to be seen. My issues are that I wasn’t taking seriously by staff at all. I was seen in triage and told the attending PA I have a history of heart disease, left ventricle 100% blocked, pain in the center of my chest with mild pressure. Time rocks on and at 7:25pm I ask for an update. The shift coming in is coming into a whirlwind. No one seems to know what’s going on. The Nurse looks me up and says we’re waiting for a urine sample, really and I’ve been here since 1:30 and no one has ask me. At this point I’m livid. She does tell me she will check on my status and get back with me. It is now 8:21 pm still no update. I’m not sure what’s going on. It seemed as if no Supervisor was on duty overseeing patient care. This in my opinion is unacceptable for a patient with a known history of heart problems. I feel that my care was not taken seriously and given the attention it needed. I also feel that simple communication would help all patients. It is my desire that this review is read by hospital administrator and addressed appropriately.
My daughter had to be admitted overnight to the Pediatric wing for dehydration. I can honestly say, I've never witnessed a more caring, compassionate, and loving medical team than she received here - all shifts. A simple thank to these wonderful professionals seems so inadequate.
Long wait times in ER, been here for over 6 hrs have not been seen. Receptionist desk attendants eating, wrapping themselves in blanket and going on multiple breaks outside while patients wait in pain, some ppl decided to leave after waiting so long to be seen. Update: went to Atrium Navicent they took great care of me I was out in less than 2hrs… and they gave me something for pain before I was released until I get my Rx filled…
Had a friend there, her mother was not taken care of properly, apparently having 3 inch long nails and working with those nails are ok, plus long hair is not in a hair net, the hospital staff and ER staff need to be better trained on hygiene and how to care for their patients, all the hospitals in middle Georgia are a joke, get retrained and try again. I will go to Atlanta to the hospitals before I give the middle Georgia ones a second thought. If this long message doesn’t get through to you. Long story short YA’LL SUCK!!
I first have to apologize for waiting, therefore being so sick, when I came to the ER. I want to Thank the ER Staff MDs & their entire Ancillary Staff. My check in was quick & for that alone I feel fortunate. My 1st clear memory was of the PM RN after I had been admitted. She & the CNA were wonderful. Especially considering how much pain gastritis & ulcers, complicated by Addison’s caused. The next day I clearly remember I was cared for by an early morning considerate CNA & Mrs. Wells, both exemplary. Mrs Wells cared for me with the utmost knowledge, respect & kindness. When you’re very Ill you greatly appreciate the well done efforts of others, including those I am now well enough to remember such as Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Faye, Dr. Mereddy, & Dr. Saymeh, as well as a host of others. Thank you all, sincerely. Oh, & the courtesy extended to my Service Dog made things so much easier for me. The Baby Tasmanian Devil is essential to my well-being. I appreciate the understanding of Houston County Hospital. My favorite of all my Nurses, has to be 2 of the last. A gentleman named Chase, I believe. Most especially a Mrs. Jess, who understands Addison’s Disease better than anyone else I had met before this. I cannot Thank Her enough. She understood the pain from my ulcer, & everything else. I truly cannot Thank Mrs. Jess/Jessica enough, ever. Thank you. Lastly, I want to extend my appreciation to Dr. Vaughn, Dr. Sharoof, & a host of other staff. You all have earned our Thanks. Thank you.
As somebody who came from rude a** New York I thought I was going to get some southern hospitality here. The communications nurse Lynne is DISGUSTING. It’s unacceptable that who ever is running this place allowed her to speak to me the way she did and hang up on me. I’ve been doing customer service for years and I would NEVER treat somebody like that. The first person who I got before Lynne is also RUDE , transferred us to her in mid sentence without telling us who they were transferring us too when I called about a valid concern about my 2 year old after a emergency room visit. Seriously do better. I know you hate your jobs but atleast pretend you don’t.
