Howard's Mini Mart

I've been going to this gas station since I was a kid. Friendly people. And the egg & cheese biscuits are very tasty. Like bojangles, or better. Do not judge a place by reviews alone. It might be you i.e. karma.

Used to come here all time for lunch but it’s not the same. Food was cold, fries weren’t cooked all the way and my husband waited almost 45 min for a chicken breast.

If I could give a "0" star, I would. I had just gotten off a 12hr shift and was driving home when my gas light cut on. I am unfamiliar with the area, so I used "Ask Google" on my phone. It directed me here. It was about 9:10pm. Granted I don't know all of what involves shutting down or starting up a gas pump, but the staff, through the locked door mind you, told me they were closed, even when I told them I was on "E" and my light was on and all I needed was a gallon or two to get me elsewhere. But no, not only did they not attempt to direct me to a nearby gas station, which I did get to thankfully, but they didn't even seem at all concerned over a small 115lb 20-th yr old woman being stranded in an unfamiliar area with no gas at night. The reviews I've seen for this location say the food is good. Sadly that care does NOT extend to their care or concern for service. ZERO stars from me and I while most assuresly NEVER use this location again. Not that I got to USE anything from them to begin with. I realize that it is probably a process to start or shut down a pump, but caring for someone's safety doesn't take 10 seconds of kindness.

Go here everyday since it's in my route of going home prices is high but it is convenient

I go to Howard's in the morning for their sausage biscuits! The ladies are always really nice and the food is great. Plus, they have non-ethanol gas.

They make Bright Leaf hot dogs right. The flavor is maintained, the bun is warm, the hotdogs are the perfect texture. This is what matters most to me.

Home town feel and manners ... The elder lady there "Terry" ... She was so sweet and polite ....

Closest Amsoil retailer to me, very convenient if your an amsoil fan in Clayton. They're not listed on the amsoil site for some reason though. Reasonably priced as well.

Great Link Sausage, perfect for an AM Meal on the go, or order two and save one for lunch!

Food has gone straight down hill and they never stay open the hours stated.
