Here at HUH for the first time for a dermatologist appointment. When I walked in the front door, the man behind the information desk called me over and gave me a sticker/badge to wear inside the hospital. I said it was my first time here and was looking for Suite 4300 to see the dermatologist. He mumbled something under his mask, and I asked him to speak up as I couldn't hear him well. He mumbled again and I had to ask him to speak up a second time. Finally, he spoke loud enough for me to understand I needed to walk to the back of the building and take the rear elevator up to the 4th floor. Once I got to Suite 4300 it wasn't much better, unfortunately. The two ladies behind the check-in counter looked up when I walked in and then looked back down at their paperwork. I walked over and said "Hi! I'm here for my appointment to see.." and was immediately cut off. One of them said, a bit curtly, "We'll be with you in a moment" and went back to her paperwork. I stood there for a few minutes until one of them put her papers aside and asked me for my name and ID. I got checked in pretty quickly after that as I had filled out all my info online ahead of time. I was then brought into the back within a few minutes by the nurse. From that point on, it was smooth sailing with a really great nurse and doctor experience. Solid appointment overall, but the first two interactions I had with the information & check-in staff both felt awkward. It was like I was bothering them by just being there doing what one is supposed to do when they come in for an appointment. First impressions matter, and I think it's important for any hospital to staff those frontline positions with friendly and helpful folks.
Understaffed, stressful, and very dirty ER. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hospital where I’ve feared so much at the idea of getting a staff infection. It is truly a filthy environment and I’m pretty sure it fail to meet the standards in which hospital’s cleanliness should be governed. It’s obvious from the accumulation of shown in these photos that the hospital haven’t been cleaned in quite s ome time months most likely. I literally stood the entire time 8 plus hours I was in there; out of fear that something worst may crawl on me and go home with me and be more detrimental to my health than the reason I was being seen. I’d recommend if given the option to go another hospital in the future; to please do so. Could be the difference between life and death.
Horrible experience trying to schedule appointments here. Had an appointment scheduled for a certain day and time, scheduling staff at the hospital scheduled it for a different day, where I could not attend, and yet they expected me to keep that appointment. The staff let me know that if I wanted to reschedule, they had no availability for a month after my initially scheduled appointment. Spoke to a Ms. Mason and a Ms. Freeman, and while they tried their best to help, the entire process led to being on hold for 3+ hours, and ended up not being able to schedule an appointment. Overall would not recommend anyone even try to set up appointments here.
I have never ever been in a hospital that was so dirty. There was not ONE clean bathroom in the building. Men and women SHOULD NOT use the same bathroom. The floor was disgusting. I went to three floors before I found a clean one NOT sp clean one. HOUSE KEEPING IS GHOST. The ANCESTORS of this hospital is turning OVER in their grave. RATE NEGATIVE 0..NO STARS
If I could give this hospital a 0. I would do it. If I could give it a negative 100, I would do it. Do NOT come here. I'd rather die at home than in here. They have roaches in the patients room. I have had to call over and over just for some of the God awful nurses to give my partner their pain meds on time. They don't even bring patients water to have..if you ask for something, you have to wait an hour or 2 just to get it. I hate seeing my partner be in so much pain and agony. The first 2 days there, they did not wash my partner. I did it myself. I've even gotten to the point of bringing soap to ensure he gets cleaned properly. This is one of the most filthiest and unprofessional hospitals. If students are learning here, I'm scared to know they came from this place if they ever operate anywhere else. Save you and your loved one a trip straight to a casket and STAY AWAY from this hospital. Anywhere in DC but here. This is the new DC GENERAL for anyone who remembers what happened to that. I really wish they would bring back Providence. The doctors they have there now, are immaculate. It could be a great place if it reopened as an actual hospital and not clinic. And lives would be saved and people would get good treatment. But don't you bring none of them nurses from Howard. Please let them stay over there because they DO NOT CARE.
Biggest mistake of my life going to this hospital. I was in car an accident Ambulance brought me to this place I was there for only 2 hours. I walked to my CT scan room. CT machine had blood all around. This place is very filthy. Tons of HIPPA and OSHA violations at this place. None of the staff was able to answer my questions. On top of that they took over 4 months to send me my hospital bill. but Physician bill came within a month. I called this place to see if I had any depending bills, they said no. so I settled my case with my car insurance. After 5 months this hit me with $ 26,577. I called the accounting they said due to Covid-19 things were slow so I must pay this or will be sent to collections.
Service is horrible, Dr Paulino who is the reason both of my children had to get braces, they had been going to her since before they wisdom teeth came in, having teeth cleanings twice a year, exams, X-rays, etc. I noticed they teeth shifting & said something, now all of sudden they had to get all wisdom teeth pulled and needed braces, their teeth was straight at first and she some how didn’t realize that they wisdom teeth had grown in and was shifting their teeth!! Just throw the whole office in the garbage. Only if Zero stars was available!!
I will never ever go to this hospital again first was on emergency room floor for a day and a half on that floor they was not attentive stating all the time be right back all of them came back like 45 mins. Then the people in break room was cussing loud I could hear in my room saying every cuss word they could several times they was about to figh Moves 5th they was more attentive only thing I hated like needing to use a mirror to shave no light look like it was broke forever and begging for a new gown finally offered me socks like time to go. A HOT MESS!!!!!!!
The worst hospital in USA specially medical records person she doesn’t know how much she have responsible she messed up my son’s Birthday certificate first birthday date ,last name and mothers birth place was wrong I don’t know where she found she put everything wrong information different information what I filled surname from not even only me a lot of people have the same problem but to be honest we had a good doctors and nurses that day for them I wish I give them 5*
Horrendous. Never again. The most disgusting hospital we have ever been to. 95% of the staff hate their jobs. They are rude, unknowledgeable & uncaring. That said, the 1 star is for Nurse Chandler & Alvin. While their coworkers sat at their desks & played their very important video games in an over the top busy ER they covered for them with expertise! We were questioned over & over about the validity of our symptoms as well by the other staff.
