Avoid if you can. Despite this being the “flagship”, the wait is incredibly long for the simplest service. Even when there is no other client, I had to wait almost 30 minutes while their staff just ignored me and chatted with each other.
Very unprofessional and poor service for premier account holders. I waited to be serviced. I was the first one in line. But the bankers served their acquaintance before me and even chatting for a long time about travel and other unrelated topics. I waited for a long time to be finally served and was told they will have a meeting in a few minutes… Don’t deserve to be treated so rudely, will move fund to some other bank.
Incompetent, terrible service. I came to this location to close my account. The incompetent teller did not close it and I was assessed a $50 maintenance fee. Ridiculous non-service. Don't bank with HSBC,
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The worst experiences with this bank- I have now given up and finally decided to change banks to Chase as they are much more customer focused with people to speak to. I have a long list of bad issues with this bank over the last few years but the biggest one is their ‘fraud’ reporting. I travel, and almost 1 out of 10 transactions I make is reported as Fraud and cards are stopped - embarrassingly so - no matter how many times I tell them I am traveling - it then takes 24 hours for updates to get my card working sometimes. Checks take 5/7 business days to deposit and clear if paid into the bank but there are so few banks around I have to mail them. I am a ‘premier’ client and meant to have a relationship manager which is not the case, it takes about 1 hour for any simple conversation with a person to do anything with their call system. I transfer money to people, it can go ‘missing’ in their system for days, they blame the person’s bank receiving but it’s HSBC as no one else has these issues. I have been a client since I was 2 for 42 years with mortgages / loans / family history and they simply do not care about their patrons and are inefficient and incapable at offering a competitive banking service.
Very poor service , empty promises , late for important meetings, difficult to get hold of your relationship manager . Long delays, poor etiquette and manners , lack of communication . I'm closing my acct and going to Chase .
I would leave zero stars if I could. Terrible customer service even for Premier. HSBC has abandoned its customers. Shame…
They closed downstairs where all the tellers were & the one’s that are upstairs move so slow like some of us have all day and nothing else to do shouldn’t take 30min to deposit one check smh
You need more people at reception with a big welcome to customers
reported my debit card missing at branch and was told it would be closed and new one issued in 3 - 7 days. Waited 10 days and then called hsbc. 1 hour on the phone to India to discover it had not been cancelled at all and it would take 10 days to replace.
Its normal to ignore potential corporate clients' emails? I do understand now why the reviews are so severe for this bank.
