The Museum was Great! We got to get on wagons, horses, try on costumes, and go inside a small Casita! Even the gift shop was great! I bought some turquoise earrings and a coffee cup. Everything in there was amazing !
You must visit! It is an amazing museum full of history and information. Great place for kids and adults. They have areas for kids to touch and play, they can also to dress up. Museum is well kept and clean. It is wheelchair accessible so no one can miss the fun. They also have an area to buy souvenirs.
Bummed that this museum is temporarily closed, but still worth the stop! Get out, stretch your legs and enjoy the short trail with some of the most beautiful horse sculptures I have ever seen!
I arrived after the place had closed for the day, so I just did the little trail outside and read about the different horses. I'd like to go back and look through the museum itself but with hours like that I dont see it happening. The grounds are clean and the states are very lifelike at least to a guy who knows nothing about the breeds ha ha
I love how realistic the displays were set up here. A true representation of the rich history of the Wild West. And you get to play dress up in styles of clothing from that time period. Fun for the entire family.
A wonderful depiction of the American West. Lovely buggy's, wagons, chuck wagon and other items used to live in the wild west. Beautiful jewelry and household items from The Anne C. Stradling collection. A great place for children to explore. Along with a wonderful reading corner or a buggy to climb on. Take a couple of hours and go explore the history of the area. Note; handicap parking is on the lower back side.
Beautiful little museum in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Wish we would have came here 20 years ago with the kids before they were all grown. Great lil souvenir shop as well... Well worth the visit and good for kids.
Great place with lots of history of the American west. From weapons, pictures, demo houses to wagons and chariots. First time my mom says she enjoys a museum
We spent hours here! The kid's dress up & imagination areas were wonderful! They can also complete a booklet and get a prize. No kids? There is a lot to see. Art, wagons, clothing, etc. Dont miss the horse sculptures outside! Handicap parking is available on the lower level.
This place was great place I loved it, one of those hidden jems I recommend taking a tour of this place was nice and clean had a little of everything the collector had a great collection. It's a small place but worth the 7 bucks friendly people working there nice little gift shop. One of the exhibits was closed but it was still worth taking a look I would do it again take the kiddos to check it out
