We're a non-profit, charitable, 501(c)(3) corp. whose programs promote the culture, history, ideals, and impact of the Negro Leagues and their players.
The museum works with advocates interested in promoting educational research, exhibitions and the dissemination of historical information about the Negro leagues. All museum programs and projects are designed to foster a greater understanding of the plight of African-Americans as they pursued their rightful place in the realm of sports.
We conduct activities designed to stimulate interest in Black history while learning about the early circumstances of Black baseball players. We encourage interest in the game and expose children and adults to the basic principles of good sportsmanship.
Our annual Youth Summer Camp provides opportunities for kids 8 to 12 years of age to learn about the history of the Negro Leagues and get a good grounding in what it means to engage in sports activities.
Our mission is to encourage the efforts of all who work towards honoring Negro Leagues Baseball by providing opportunities for research, education, and advocacy for the game and about the players.
For the love of the game!
