Having to discuss funeral arrangements is never an easy thing to do. I spoke with Brian - he was very knowledgeable about all of the details required and thus made going through the process as painless as possible. He asked all the right questions, processed the documentation and notified all the necessary people in a very timely manner. I would recommend this family business which has been operating for years to anyone.
Hudgel's Swan Funeral Home cares deeply about one's loss. From the initial phone call to the pickup of ashes, every step was taken care of. I worked with Warren. He was kind, courteous, and professional and took care of everything. Their prices are comparable and no price surprises but their service is exceptional. I know they handled our son with utmost respect and care. At a time of deep loss and grief, their thoroughness lifted a part of this difficult process. I highly, highly recommend Hudgel's.
On August 4, 2023, my father, Charles Marshall, passed away in Tucson, AZ. We contacted Brian at Hudgel's Swan Funeral Home after business hours and he gladly walked us through the entire interment process. Given I was not going to be able to make the viewing on the scheduled date, Brian made arrangements so that could see my father the day before my flight departure. This level of care and heartfelt service comes from being a family owned business that is true to its values to serve humanity while they are grieving. With much appreciation and respect, thank you. This is one of two independently owned funeral homes in Tuscon, and it shows. Their service is very compassionate. They go the extra mile. I was very impressed with the personal care they provided to me regarding the death of a friend.
I chose this funeral home based on a friend's referral and it was the perfect choice. The owners were courteous and handle the whole process very professionally. The location is very accessible. Prices are more than reasonable as well. Will recommend to anyone for their loved one.
Three months ago my son passed away unexpectedly. I needed help immediately and because I had other friends who had good experiences with Hudgel’s Funeral Home, I called them in the middle of the night. No one could have been kinder, more thoughtful and understanding than Brian Hudgel. He guided me through everything I had to do and gave his time whenever and however he could. I lost my parents within two weeks of one another. My experience with Brian Hudgel is one that I will always remember having had him help me with my mom’s passing and cremation only to return two weeks later for my dad’s. His caring and kind manner at such difficult times in my life was that of such professionalism and understanding. I feel so very fortunate to have been directed, by an acquaintance in the industry, to utilize Hudgel’s Swan Funeral Home. It was comforting to know that the cremations were done on site and tended to by the Hudgel family. It is for these reasons I highly recommend this family owned business.
My father unexpectedly passed away while visiting us in Tucson. TMC gave us a list of mortuaries to choose from and we chose Hudgel's because it was fairly close and happens to be one of the only family-owned and operated mortuaries in town. That resonated with us, and I'm glad we chose them. Brian Hudgel was very knowledgeable and compassionate throughout the process, and I'm thankful for his help during this difficult time.
This happen in Aug 2022 and still hurts and makes me tear up. The man that works here is nasty and rude. My cousin died suddenly at 41 and she was a caregiver manager so we refered here by one of her associates and were told she would be well taken care of. We met with Hudgels on day after she passed.seeing that it was sudden we had no arrangements in place and had to figure money situation out. We talked with them about what we wanted which was an open casket viewing and then cremation. We took one day to decide and called back the 2nd day. This man told us in his exact words, well she been dead for 5 days what do you want me to do with her, you can't have an open casket. She didn't die violently she had a heart attack. We would have ended up not sending her off right if we listened to this man. We ended up going to east lawn and they helped us hugely. The gave us the price this place was and instead of a cardboard box they let us rent a casket at no charge cause of the experience. Death is very hard and u need people with compassion. This place does not have that.
