I joined the credit union after my regular bank merged and customer service got worse. Garden Savings is the king of customer service. They have always been friendly and responsive. I always consider taking my financial business to this credit union one of the better decisions I’ve made. The only area that needs improvement is the quality of their debit cards -I’ve had instances where the chip can’t be read. The chip Apparently seems to deteriorate over time. I would suggest Garden Saving uses a different card manufacturer since this has been an ongoing issue. Other than that, I am a very satisfied customer.
Update: I got a call from the bank with options that will help out during a crisis so I am very about that. Previous Statement Review: The bank is not that bad but during the pandemic, you would have thought that this bank would be a little bit more lenient. I can honestly say I have been struggling with my bills, especially when the school district abruptly at the last minute seriously went to online learning December 2021 - January 2021. I couldn't keep track of my bills and tried to slow some down but some still got a way from me with all the extra in home expenses we had to face. I was being charged $32 courtesy pay fees which I had no idea existed. However, I vowed to straighten out my account but the fees kept racking up, even on charges as low as $3.00. You would think if they charge you a courtesy pay fee of $32 that the charge should be more that $32 that they cover. Small charges shouldn't even have a courtesy fee attached to it. Mind you, they charge you as soon as it comes in. Bank of America give you until 11:59pm to fund your account that's in the negative before they charge you a fee. I think I will go back to that bank in about a year. Credit Unions are good but very unforgiving.
Garden Savings Federal Credit Union has always been very good to me. The people there are very nice, very courteous, very professional, and very very helpful. I always have service very fast and take my request with patience and always make me aware of promotions and rates without any hard sell. Thank you.
Hands down absolute worst credit union to receive a loan through. None of their tellers know what they’re doing, they’re rude and super unhelpful. I’ve never had to deal with such unprofessionalism. Please do not waste your time and money with these people. I had to learn the hard way. Save yourselves!
By far the worst bank ever!!!! They are so messed up and disrespectful. They hire people that has no patience and yell and scream on the phone. They took my car for a payment that was $239 only and currently still in the same month of the current payment. So they actually took my car for October payment for owning them $239 and instead of calling me after loaning with them for 3 years they pull this only because i have bout 5 payments left with these jackass people!!!!!
It's 2020 and they still cant develop a user friendly website. Loan payments are difficult to make, you can't see your loan balance from the website, the auto-pay system is incredibly faulty Ive tried to enroll 3 times and each time is has failed which resulted in me making late payments and not to mention their customer service is subpar. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because they did provide me with a decent rate after I refinanced my auto loan. So, if that's all you're really looking for, then this may be the place for you. But if you're looking for a positive banking experience that helps you through the process of banking/investing, then look elsewhere.
I purchased a work truck 2013 Dodge Durango oct.7 from one of the dealers in their network of dealers and the truck has water damage. I informed the bank same day and also went back to the dealership where they denied the damage rust and sand all through out the truck. rust in the interior compartment of the vehicle. I had to pay 5899.00 in repairs New parts all away around Brakes,Rotors, wheel hubs, axles, struts, and springs emergency break cable abs sensor rear suspension gave the bank the mechanic invoices and the truck had been in the shop sense I got it. called into Inform them I needed more time to pay the first month payment they told me okay.Then went to the mechanic shop and repossessed the truck in under their time and grace period. I call the bank I get Will Micheals the collection manger who informs me I have to pay 15k to get my truck back because I defaulted on my 29 day first payment. I had a meeting with Tony Bandeira today who works for Garden Saving and he helped me resolve my issue with my truck and he was very professional and concerned with what had happen. It's good to know that there are still some good people in business. Its September 10 I had been out of work due to the Pandemic I just got back to work I contacted the back to speak with Will Micheals Again he setup a payment arrange for me to pay down Auto loans by the 4th of this month I been call and could not get him and he calls me today and tell me I have to pay 45k to get both my work truck and personal truck back. He told me the credit union will only accept 45k we are still in state emergency NJ and according to Will the Credit union Does not care about their customers I been trying to reach his boss and he has been intercepting every call I been screwed by the dealer who sold me the truck and not credit union who financed my loans PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CREDIT UNION People are trying to return back to a normal life and this credit is not trying to help
This company is by far the worst on the planet! I paid for my car in March 2020 and i still can't retrieve my title from these imaginary people who are supposed to be working! I have been trying since October to get my title or a letter stating my car is paid for so i can pay for the title at motor vehicles but still no help! Nobody call or email me back and no one works! This is a nightmare and i feel like i was extorted! I also overpaid them and i can't even get my few dollars from them for the overpayment! I will never ever refer anyone not even an animal to this place!
