Placed an order on Dec 28 with Hudson Valley Lighting. Three weeks later, there is no communication from HVL. Four emails asking for delivery status have gone unanswered. HVL spams me 2-3 times a week with ads, but won't answer my inquiries about an order. Will never again transact with this totally unresponsive company. Customer service is nonexistent. AVOID.
First of all let’s not be fooled they claim that the are assemble in America they don’t come assembled at all, parts are placed in a box resembling a assembled fixture which leads me to believe that they were only packed in America at the very least. The mounting system that they use on their ceiling mount fixtures is almost impossible!!! there is no way to install with it not rubbing on the ceiling marring the ceiling with its finish on the meal. Let’s talk about uneven electroplating the brass coating is uneven a fixture at this price point should be perfect. Perfection is impossible due to mounting systems and grease left behind by twisting it into place. If this was assembled in America they need to hire more qualified people starting with the designers who have no clue how to hang a fixture off a 12 foot ladder to the untrained employees who put the Chinese parts in the box and believe me they don’t get that right all the time. Your packers “assemblers need better training and supervision” To any potential customers expect to pay serval times more to install from the painters to the electricians
Worst in customer service and satisfaction! Bought a Hudson Valley light fixture for my bath off a picture in a catalog. Nothing about it was custom. It was delivered with broken glass globes and it was not the quality that I had expected. When I tried to return it for a refund at the retailer they said they wouldn't refund me any money and blamed the manufacturer. Emailed Hudson Valley Lighting and they blamed it on retailers return policy. Now I'm out $400+..Never had this problem before. Hudson Valley does not stand by their product!
The problem that I am having is that you can't even ask them a technical question. If your light needs a repair or something isn't working correctly, they are not consumer friendly. Customer support is an important part of the equation. Waste of time to call them
Rip-off artists. There are a handful fixtures on their website that I have fabricated before for a different company. They don’t even try to hide that they have blatantly stolen these designs.
Terrible employers.
We had our kitchen remodeled in October 2021and had Counter Attack brand under cabinet lights installed as part of the process. The lights are products of the Hudson Valley Lighting Group. The lights are a great addition to our kitchen and do a terrific job of lighting work surfaces as well as adding a warm touch to the kitchen. The lights are fantastic but I was also very impressed with the customer service HVLG provided. Some time after completion of the remodel, an issue cropped up and it was the type of situation that could have been very troublesome if it was not promptly and professionally addressed. Individuals from HVLG communicated with me frequently to keep me apprised of progress toward a resolution. Emails and phone calls were answered quickly and I was kept fully informed through the process until it was resolved. I appreciate HVLG great products combined with their responsive, professional customer service; it is a winning combination.
