AWESOME PLACE. GREAT PEOPLE. BEEN AROUND MANY YEARS AND HOPE ITS THERE MANY MORE TO COME. ive wanted to take pictures of a big truck here since i started driving in 1989, finally had the chance. The folks running the place were awesome about me doing it, and loved the pictures.. THANKS HULL'S, FOR KEEPING A GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY ALIVE...
I only have one other theater to compare Hulls to but I enjoyed my experience here. Parking was ample, food was very reasonably priced and I liked the whole community feel of it, while the shout-out to the county members. It's only one screen here but this was my first time seeing and using the side speakers installed throughout the field. Very retro, very cool. Great to have since many newer cars turn off to protect the battery now and I didn't have to rent a radio. Woman at the entrance was very friendly and helpful, explaining things without making us feel rushed.
Went here recently on a Sunday night to see Thor: Love and Thunder. It's been a long time since I was last here 10+ years. There's been many updates to the facilities. You can tell the folks behind Hull's Drive In Theater genuinely care about the entire place. The grounds were clean, bathrooms in a good condition, snacks were great, and the screen & sound's quality were outstanding. Please consider going here and supporting this truly great place. It's a wonderful piece of our history. Looking forward to going here again!
Absolutely love Hull's and it is worth the drive from Roanoke. We always look forward to summer so we can sit and enjoy the movies. We bring our dogs and the food there is great. The whole experience is worthwhile and after a few rainy showings, we finally have a just in case kit with extra blankets and radios. The only thing that could be improved is some of the double billings. There are some that seem kind of thrown together but it is not something that can always be helped.
Haven't seen a drive in in forever really nice people and pretty outside allowing dogs amazing cheap food
I absolutely love this place! It’s a fun place to go in the summer. There aren’t very many drive-in movie theaters around anymore, and it’s nice to see that Hull’s is still up and running. Very nostalgic with the old 50’s and 60’s refreshment advertisements. They play old, and new movies, and most times it’s a double feature. A great place for a family night or date night. Bring some lawn chairs so you can sit outside under the stars.
A great throwback experience. Always included when we have guests in from out of town. The atmosphere is relaxed and they often show first run movies and some classics from years past. Prices are great, so bring a carload and some camping chairs.
This is a family-feel-good event!! We will go back as much as possible. We saw a shooting star go down behind the movie screen during the movie. Awesome experience. Kids woke up this morning talking about all of their favorite parts of the night : popcorn was hot and fresh!!
We're new to the area and must say that we love pretty much everything about this drive-in. We love the staff, the food is good, the movies both new and older are directed towards all ages, and we also love that there is a slight elevation difference between the rows making the screen more visible to all. If I had any complaints, which really I understand for business purposes it needs to be done this way so there really isn't anything to complain about, smushing 2 cars together into a small spot in between the poles isn't always pleasant. Sometimes the kids and/or adolescents that you're paired with can be obnoxious, but that's honestly just the role of the dice at any drive-in. All-in-all, we look forward to each one of our visits at Hull's. THANK YOU FOR DOlNG SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB!
Loved it! This was my first time in a drive in and they did not disappoint. Food was good, staff was friendly, and was dog friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves.
