Humboldt Haus Sandwich Bar

We ordered the west sider sandwich and the turkey club sandwich. I got pasta salad as my side and my boyfriend got potato salad. Can’t complain about one aspect, everything was amazing. We got delivery and the sandwiches were still good after the little wait till we got them! My boyfriend said he liked my sandwich better, the turkey club. I agree it was on great fluffy bread with quality ingredients. We can’t wait to get the sandwiches again. 10/10 recommend. I do wish the sides would have been bigger, but they came with the sandwich so we didn’t pay extra for them so I’m not upset.

Large hot/cold deli style Sandwiches. Good variety. Good for carry out or eating on sidewalk patio.

I’ve tried multiple different sandwiches here and every single one of them slapped. The roast beef is my favorite so far. The 9” subs I could eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day. Portions are great, they’ve always been on time and ready for pick up when ordered. This is a solid sandwich shop.

Usually a great place, tonight was an “off” night I guess. First, for a sandwich that’s $13+ you would expect some more meat. Look at the picture, there’s only one slice of two kinds of meat in it, pathetic sandwich. Second, I picked up this sandwich and left a 15% tip, said “Thank you,” and no acknowledgement or even a glance my way. That’s fine, don’t expect anyone to be happy to see me, but it’s just polite to at least acknowledge a customer. A nod would’ve done. Like I said, “off” night, and the slimmed down sandwich was still tasty, but it will be a while before I go back or recommend.

The amounts of disrespect I felt picking up an online order it’s April 12 this happened at about 7:15 .. I went to pick up an online order, and the man who was working the register, seem to ignore me as much as he can it even got to the point where he totally just walked off on me and went to the bar to clean a glass when I was obviously not helped . So I asked the sandwich maker if that man was going to help me and the man making the sandwiches, ended up helping me so he had to stop his job to do the other guys job on top of that the man is giving me dirty, looks from across the room as if I did something to him . This place used to be cool now is just full of drunks and aggravated workers. I won’t be making any more online orders here.

Food was mid. Tasted kinda like fridge and bread was stale. Vibes of place was kinda bare bones. Uncomfortable seats, and the outdoor seating didn’t even have the umbrellas set up. Staff was super sweet and friendly. Although the nonstop Taylor swift playing was mildly annoying. Overall I say the place has potential but needs to improve the quality of the food.

This place seems to have changed over the years. The bar had terrible lighting and the room seemed bare, not very welcoming. Some of the staff seemed bothered to have us there. The sandwiches were pretty good but I doubt I'd go back due to the rest of the experience or maybe just get items to go. The bathroom was dirty and dysfunctional, also had dirt speck in my drink.

Ok the sandwiches are soooo weak!!! I got like 2 slices of deli meat and a slice of cheese with hard bread. I don’t think I’ll ever get a sandwich here again haha. I think I’ve had their vegetarian one and it tastes pretty good. But their Italian one was like the weakest sandwich. Vibes are 12/10, sandwich is 3/10

The reviews here hold true! This place is wonderful for sandwiches! You can’t go wrong with getting something from here. If you’re thinking about getting something from here go for it! I would recommend the West Sider Sandwich from here. The meats are very good and the bread is wonderful.

Phenomenal Roast Beef sandwich, the very best I’ve ever had! I get it on the French Bread with provolone cheese and have to go at least once a week to get one! Friendly staff as well, I highly recommend!
