Hunt Middle School

About

Hunt Middle School is a public middle school in Frisco, TX and was named after Lamar Hunt and his wife, Norma. Hunt is the home of the Huskies.

Description

Lamar Hunt and his wife, Norma, a former Richardson High School American history teacher, have made a tangible difference in the lives of many through their generous spirit and the love of “games.” Hunt is known world-wide for his influences in the games of football, soccer and tennis. He and K.S. “Bud” Adams founded the American Football League and he was a principal negotiator in the merger of the AFL and the NFL in 1966. He founded the Dallas Texans, later to become the Kansas City Chiefs. He is credited with coining the name of the Super Bowl based on his children’s toy “Super Ball,” and he also formed World Championship Tennis in 1967. He pioneered professional soccer in the U.S. and he further made U.S. and Texas soccer history in building two pre-eminent soccer-specific facilities, one in Ohio and one in Frisco. The Hunt family worked closely with the City of Frisco and Frisco Independent School District to bring Pizza Hut Park, the first soccer stadium built through a coordination of both private and public funds, and FC Dallas to Frisco, a move that helped further put the community on the map and brought millions of visitors to our area. Hunt was known for his integrity, his vision, and his humility. His wife and four children and many grandchildren continue to support his many interests. Young people across the Metroplex and the country have benefited from his vision and his passion for providing opportunities through athletics.

Nice facility, not so nice faculty. Despite the sign saying that the field is reserved for FISD students, but track use is allowed, some lady claiming to be a track coach will come out and try to remove you from the track even though there were no student activities going on. I'm a Frisco resident and my taxes support this facility. However, it seems that more money is needed to teach this unfortunate person to read. I'm sure this is a great school otherwise, but this has been my girlfriend's and my experience with it.
Hunt is cool. I liked my experience there. I mean, it’s school, so it’s not like AMAZING, but it’s pretty good. Their is some bad stuff but it’s mostly dumb middle school drama. HOWL TV is pretty lit
Ok. Not bad or awesome. I am a sixth grader that goes there. I love Ms.Schneider the ILA teacher
The school has little to no understanding of what a child needs. My kid got a year of detention for RASING HIS HAND
