Hunter T's Chicken Shack

Absolutely hands down the best chicken tenders and tater wedges I have ever eaten! My husband loved them too! This place has everything fresh and the chicken is mouth watering juicy! The tenders are big and have a really good flavor. The potato wedges are hand cut and it’s the big ones like old school. The portions are big too! Definitely worth every penny. We will be back here as this is now a favorite! If we could give 10 stars we would!

We tried their breakfast and it was so good. Friendly service also 4 Months ago Post today 6/15/20. We have been getting lunch/ dinner now for a while and there chicken is awesome and as well as there potato wedges and biscuits. Needless to say there food has never disappointed us and is always great and hot when you get it. Go out and give them a try and you can't beat there prices :-.

Chicken and Potato Wedges were tasty with a good flavor blend. Biscuits were dry but it was also late in the day so I understand. Coleslaw needs work flavor was lacking a bit. "A chicken shack that doesn't sell Gizzards or Livers come on now" I would make the drive weekly if they sold some amazing fresh deep fried Gizzards. Unfortunately Hunter's feels like a mini KFC instead of a unique chicken joint that would pull me back for more. *Will return if I hear they start making Gizzards Popcorn Chicken? Wings? 3/5 for now.

Drive-thru only fast-food restaurant - chicken tenders are big, very lightly breaded, obviously done in-house. Some of the best in the area. The fried chicken on the bone is good, a bit more heavily breaded. Nice to have chicken in the area that isn't one of the big chains. The biscuits need a LOT of work - they're essentially dryer, harder versions of KFC's, which were already terrible enough. Menu could use some other sides, even if it's just regular french fries. The huge wedges that are offered are always undercooked - still very firm, kind of like a baked potato's consistency. NO DISCOUNT for ordering multiple tenders. So, if you want 10 or 15 tenders, you're paying the a la carte price, which, at the time of this review is $2.10 apiece.

I’ve been to Hunter T’s chicken shack a few times over the past month. I drive nearly 30 min just to eat at their restaurant. The customer service is above and beyond. You couldn’t ask for more friendly people, and the food is delicious! Not only is it delicious, but it’s extremely affordable. It’s my new favorite place to get gravy and biscuits. My fiancé goes there often for lunch and highly recommends the chicken tenders and potato wedges. I can’t say enough good things. Go give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!

My father and uncle eat takeout from this restaurant often. They had said how good the food was. So I stopped by to pick up a lunch for me and my son. We ordered the two breast meal with potato wedges and a biscuit. The chicken was delicious - juicy and well flavored. The potato wedges were very good. My son said the biscuit was really good too. We will definitely go back and eat there again.

I wish I had as good of an experience as the other reviewers. This review is from two weeks ago, so I'll give it a few more weeks and try again, and hopefully walk away with a better rating. I ordered a platter with chicken strips, potato wedges, a biscuit, and tea. The price was pretty decent considering the amount of food and the service was very fast. The tea and biscuit were as good as you'd expect from any fast food chain. The chicken and wedges both missed the mark, though. The chicken was lukewarm and dry. My best guess was that the chicken had been fried well before my order and spent a while under a heat lamp. Unfortunately, the breading didn't do much to make up for it, as it was pretty bland. The wedges were similarly lukewarm and bland. I couldn't identify the taste, but the potatoes had a subtle, unpleasant flavor. The taste was a letdown, but it's a valid option if you want a lot of food, very quickly.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The only problem I had was 2 out of 3 of my chicken tenders the batter kept sliding off so they were pretty much naked which sucks because that’s where the flavor is but everything else was really good. My daughter got the chicken leg meal and my husband got the chili dog which he said was delicious. We will definitely come back!

Very friendly and quick service all the food looked fantastic. I ordered nachos since I wasn't very hungry, but my friend got a 3pc tender meal with potato wedges and it looked amazing. Took less than 5 minutes to place our order and be served our food. $5 will get you a great lunch.

This was my first and last trip. The food was nasty and spoiled.. you can taste the rotting meat. I feel the health department should be informed.. no way can you fry chicken and not notice a stench coming from it . Disgusting
