I brought my rabbit Wanda to Huron East Animal Hospital for an emergency situation. All the staff were friendly, helpful and concerned about Wanda's situation. They were able to book Wanda in quickly for an emergency appointment. Wanda was treated with the utmost care and expertise you could hope for. They asked many questions, examined Wanda and came up with a treatment plan, giving me options and pricing, so there was no surprise at the end. The prices for this emergency situation were very reasonable. Dr. Johnson answered all my questions and quelled my concerns, with genuine care for Wanda's health and professional advise. Dr. Johnson even drew me a detailed diagram to help explain the situation. Beyond me being put at ease by the entire staff at Huron East Animal Hospital, Wanda was completely calm while being handled the staff and Dr. Johnson. I think Wanda enjoyed her trip to the vet! The clinic even called me a couple of days later to check and see if Wanda's health was improving, which I thought was such a professional courtesy. I really couldn't have asked for more while going through a rough situation with Wanda. If you are looking for a great team to help your pet with ongoing and emergency care, then Huron East Animal Hospital should be your first stop.
I had the worst experience here today. I’m a single mom of one child. My babysitter backed out on me last minute resulting in me having to bring my little one to the vet appointment for my dog. The vet office refused to let me in with my dog because I had A KID with me I could totally understand if I had a friend etc. but it was a child. I had a full on panic attack outside while they took my dog in. She’s my therapy dog. They had no regard about my feelings. I totally get their rules as I work in healthcare and times are still crazy. But there are exceptions to certain things that are out of my control. I now am on the hunt for a new vet clinic. So if you are a single parent or suffer from severe anxiety please don’t use this vet clinic.
Poor experience here. Our dog had an ear infection that required a small incision to be drained. This costed over $400.00. They asked us to come back to change her bandage. They bandaged her ear and then told us afterwards it was $25, and if she needs bandaging again it will be another $25. I told them this isn’t affordable right now after paying over the $400, so she took off the bandage she already put on the dogs ear and threw it out because we couldn’t afford it. Since I can’t reply to your comment, I will add an update. You bandaged it up without telling us there was a fee. When I said we can’t pay for the bandage, the vet responded with “well it’s already been put on” implying it’s already done so it needs to be paid for, so because I couldn’t pay for it, I said you could take it off. Your business chose to take it off and throw it out, because we couldn’t afford to pay more on top of the $400 which should have covered the cost of a bandage anyways. Your attempts to try to twist the situation to look better isn’t a good look for your business.
Poor experience, Dr Laura is a great vet but the practices of the clinic are poor unfortunately. The opportunity to make money is capitalized as many practices do instead of considering the welfare of the animals.
Stop searching for a great vet, this is the one!! Our two pups, Fajita and Hamburger, love their visits and the staff really do care for their well-being. Always calling to check in with our two fur kiddos
5/5 star experience friendly and helpful staff, took great care of my bunny Nala from initial check up day to post operative surgery checkup. Price is the best compared to other vets around area. Vet assistant checked up through text after post operative surgery. Amazing overall service would recommend!
I brought my cat for an emergency visit to this vet location. She had kittens a month prior and due to kittens weaning her nipples got really hard and engorged. I was given meds for her, by injection at visit and the rest I took home to give by mouth. By day 3 her nipples were soft and back to normal. I have been to a couple other vets in the past, but this was the first time I felt like the vet was treating my pet like she was my very own child. It was extremely comforting to me and felt very reassured that my cat was getting the best treatment for her symptoms. I would highly recommend this vet. She is very caring and passionate about her job. I didn’t feel judged or pressured at all. I will be going back to spay my cat and for future needs.
I was treated with the utmost respect and care when they were helping my fifteen year old cat cross the rainbow bridge. I'll always appreciate their kindness and understanding. Thanks for helping my girl be at peace
Second review as responses can’t be posted. Here’s the response to your accusation that we asked for her bandage to be taken off. You bandaged it up without telling us there was a fee. When I said we can’t pay for the bandage, the vet responded with “well it’s already been put on” implying it’s already done so it needs to be paid for, so because I couldn’t pay for it, I said you could take it off, because that’s the only solution. This is why you tell people ahead of time of additional fees. You don’t do things that will cost extra without telling someone, and then corner them into paying it because you already did the work. Your business chose to take it off and throw it out, because we couldn’t afford to pay more on top of the $400 which should have covered the cost of a bandage anyways. Your attempts to try to twist the situation to look better isn’t a good look for your business. Do better.
Today was our first visit with Dr.Laura and our new rescue Doberman, Church and it went amazing. She made sure his visit was all positive and Church loved her. Our other dog Zoie, has seen Dr. Laura throughout Covid but this was our first in-person meet. You can see how much love she has for her patients. The rest of the staff were just as amazing. From the time I arrived until the time I left they made Church’s visit a positive one and as a pet owner that means so much! Thank you Dr. Laura and staff
