Beautiful spot for a morning hike. Cool rock features and a pretty creek. Hike is a little strenuous and the long way back is long steep incline, i recommend taking the shortcut up the stairs. Picnic tables down by water to rest. Overall really nice area to explore.
If I can give one bit of advice it would be wear closed toed shoes if you’re going just for a hike. Even walking to the swimming area it’s hard in just flip flops but I love this place. I see something different every time I come here. We walked all the way to the Twilight Tunnel & walked through it. It was dark in places so bring a flashlight. There are lots of steep steps so be prepared & bring your inhaler if you have asthma.
I love this place it's peaceful and has a great short trail perfect for a day hike. Creek is nice 2.
This park looks like it’s out of a painting or from one of those relaxation meditation videos! Absolutely stunning creek / river and surrounding cliffs. Great for swimming or just walking in the shallow creek.
There is a place in this world where I can find peace and enjoyment at the same time. I just move to Cullman and I love hiking. This park is my favorite and also is so beautiful and clean. Come and visit it. Picnic area: You can enjoy your breakfast in this place while you are enjoying the sun.
The most amazing place in mother nature I have seen next to sipsy National wildlife refuge... Hurricane Creek Park has some of the most beautiful trails, waterfalls, and the best swimming hole! My whole family loves it out there and we go quite often in the spring and summer to enjoy a hike, a swim, something for the whole family Just make sure the water isn't low when you go because it's a bummer when the waterfall isn't flowing!
This place is just gorgeous. Easy hike down to the picnic area, and the waterfall/river area is just beautiful!
This park has many things to see. We walked one trail that had a ton of rocks to look out for. The bridges and trails were nice until the leaves overtook the trail. I did a lot of shuffling of my feet to make sure I didn’t step in a hole. We walked down the road path to the stream. A few mini waterfalls and lots of rock. This park I feel like is a hidden gem. It was such a gorgeous fall day to hike. The heaven stairs were a killer on my lungs but it felt so good.
I love Hurricane Creek Park the place is so clean & it's an easy hike plus the Twilight Tunnel is pretty neat to see
From the start of the trails, I knew it was going to be an exciting hike. Very steep, uneven steps, and slippery in some parts. There are multiple trails you can take and not all of them are clearly defined so you may have to look around. Despite the warnings of other reviewers, I went hiking while it was raining and as warned, it was extremely slippery that I had to turn back around. Definitely wear proper hiking shoes and bringing climbing gear if you have some. Saw some climbing hooks on some of the cliffs, but overall be careful and have fun! It is a beautiful place!!
