Bought pans, etc in 1976 while in college there. Over the years I have needed a few minor replacement parts, never an issue. Recently I needed to replace a pan that was no longer flat after 44 years. Customer service was great. Replacement was quick and easy. It was a pricey purchase back then but 45 years later, it turned out to be a great choice. Always had great cooking equipment and fantastic service when needed. I remain very impressed by this stellar company and product. Other than my wife and degrees, this is the only other thing I still have left from college.
I would not even give them a 1 star, people do not buy from them. I have attempted to have them auto deduct from my account since my account was set up and every month they call me to tell me my payment is late and every month I ask them to double check that my payment will be deducted automatically and they respond yes. People save yourself some time and headache, do not buy from them.
There are other cookware products that are just as good. The cookware I purchased is heavy duty and probably will last a long time. I also purchased the knives set. I do like them, but again, you can find a similar product that's less expensive somewhere else. You do have to immediately dry the knives because they easily rust if left with water. Some of my knives has chips in them. I'm assuming there was something left on them that ate away at the metal. You don't have to pay $3000 for a set you can get from Macy's, Dillard's, or any other department store. You can if you want, but it isn't necessary. They demonstrated a cooking technique which I used on my kitchen aid pan, it worked the same way. The cookware isn't bad, it's just basic to me. I would recommend paying for everything up front or making larger payments than your monthly payment so you can get done faster.
We purchased the Royal Prestige pans over 30 years ago. If I was going to rate this company on Sales tactics, back then, not so good...we were 18 year old kids that could not afford this type of product. But we did and paid $18 a month for I don't know how many years! So again, thought it was a mistake. Fast forward 30+ years. Our Royal Prestige pots and pans are still gorgeous and used often. We have had to contact the company twice for broken handles. Once in 2005 and today. They take the order and send them to you no charge as part of the warranty. That to me is excellent service after all this time. We have the "Older" pans so we aren't even in the customer database anymore. Doesn't matter...handles will be shipped right away. Again, work on the sales tactics and this company gets a great rating from us.
I bought pots/pans from this company for $2,500, and their service charges are hidden! 75% of my monthly payment went to interest! It was not written in my contract. Found out their cookware is not as good as they claimed and their warranty was not credible based off of BBB reviews. With what they're charging me and the amount that actually goes to principal, the amount I'd end up paying would be OVER $4,000! Customer service was very poor, I can't believe they're allowed to do this kind of scamming in 2020.
STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE! If I could rate a business negative this would be the one. Their product is absolutely terrible, the pans are falling apart and I barely use them. They do not function as promised. AND I cancelled this order before the cancellation date but because they state I did not send a certified letter a phone call then followed up by a letter per their request never mentioned certified was not enough to validate a cancellation they would not let me return their junk product and cancel my subscription after I discovered they were charging my credit card card for a few months. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE!
I place an order for the under the counter water filter which took over a month to be delivered. Upon delivery and reading the manufacture instructions decided that the filter was not foe me. When I attempted to return the item I was informed that my cancellation period had expired and that they would not take the filter back. I informed them that the filter has never been taken out of the box only the instructions were read. I was then threaten with damage to my credit. I informed the representative that the filter will be in the box when ever they want to pick it up but I will not be paying $1,600.00 for something that I will never use. This is a horrible policy and I will not ever recommend your company to anyone.
I would never ever buy from them again!!!!! Is always some bs with their customer service and when you need something from them, they said to contact the sales person. The last time I called him he hung up on me….. and yessss they definitely say that the total amount on your contract is your final but lies they never say that more than half of your payment is for taxes….
STAY AWAY!!! COMPLETE SCAM! They lure you in from bridal expos claiming you won a free trip, free wedding bands, and free champagne flutes! They then proceed to tell you that you need to attend this seminar and sit through this shpeel for 1.5hours. The sales person uses horrible sale tactics I had a guy named Jerry who then tells us that the pots we use causes cancer and the chemicals will kill birds if you have birds as a pet! He then used a piece of paper and rubbed it on other pans showing how dangerous other pots and pans out there. I think this tactic was completely illegal as there is no given study or proof of anything ! We unfortunately purchased the pots the sales person did not disclose anything to us at all as far as cancellation of the order he made us sign quickly and that was it! No interest rate was ever gone over with us or mentioned in this Case. I finally read the back of this contract that if it is not cancelled in 3 days you're SOL by this company! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ARE RUDE! They refuse to help or make any exception especially if you have financial hardship. I sent the order back I refuse to take it and have contacted BBB. This company is relentless and is out to take your money and run! I don't know how this company isn't out of business yet but I highly advise to run! Hycite is a bunch of crooks! Failure of disclosure of any information and I never in my life heard of any company refusing cancellation after 3 days! YOU PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE !
I bought a pot and pan set and they are awful! I dont even use them anymore and I'm still paying on them. Stay away from this business!! Lifetime guarantee isnt what it should be and really doesn't mean a single thing. Everything sticks to these pots and pans. I'll pay and take it as a lesson learned and continue to use my cast iron skillets!
