Great location! Near so many attractions in the downtown area within walking distance of nearly anything. Beds were super comfortable. Parking rates are atrocious. Construction was going on at the Convention Center next door which made navigation a bit tricky, but little traffic to fight as a result so you could easily access the entrance from the oncoming lane of traffic. Seagulls. Stop it now. You won't need an alarm clock.
second time staying here for an event taking place within the hotel. Its an okay hotel. Nothing special. Our room smelled kind of musty, and our blankets had stains on them which was a little off putting. Our bathtub drain was clogged & the hair drier was all caked up & sticky with hair & hairspray. All little things that could be resolved by more detailed housekeeping. Other than that, the lobby & bar is a really nice place to hang and chill. I like the location too as it’s in walking distance of a lot of great restaurants & bars. Also, the back door said it requires a room key to get inside, but it was unlocked for everyone. For safely reason, it’d be nice if that was more enforced. Nearby activities: restaurants, bars, parks Food & drinks: Starbucks inside & bar
The room coffee makers don’t work. At least they didn’t for me and several others at the same conference. They struggle a bit with the dated nature of the faculties. But everything else was great. Very friendly service and exceptional service by the folks serving meals for the conference.Rooms: 4/5
Great location but aged rooms and old furniture. Hotel needs refurbishment. Bad customer service: I filed a complaint for i room was not made after 1st night and ii issue with laundry service. Front desk did not really care when I said but offered to follow up via email, which wasn't done. Valet service badly organized, totally overwhelmed when amount of guests is high. Understand there can be issues but just give the keys to customers in that case instead of charging for a service which you cannot offer.
Location is fabulous, downtown where there are plenty of things to do and a wide variety of places to eat. Starbucks on location. Rooms are big enough for our needs, cleaned and maintained daily. The only issue I have with the rooms is that the walls are very thin, and voices travel. Nearby activities: Near the Baird Center and historical museum, easily walk ability to nearby locations. Walkability: Plenty of areas to walk around, not far from anything. Food & drinks: Starbucks on location, but very close to plenty of other and diverse eateries
I Like the location everything is within walking distance so that is okay. However, I suggest you double check the bedding. Our room blankets had blood stains on it. Then noticed the other bed had a blood stain on it also.Rooms: 2/5
