Went here before it was closed and the racing wasn’t bad, it would be nice for Pueblo/Southern Colorado to have a decent asphalt racetrack with 11-12+ cars in each class or some Friday night shows with Colorado National on Saturday to help car counts, it’s a shame an owner or local businesses don’t see enough value in it or a minor league baseball team.
Good racing beer selection needs to be more diverse. Food is mediocre at best. Still a great time.
The reason why I am giving this 5 stars is because this track has been in my life for so long and I don't want it to just be gone and left to rot like it is just not right all I want to see is this track alive
Fun place to watch local races. Concession stand needs some help. Long lines and they ran out of EVERYTHING. I have been there in the past with a lot of good racing. Last time I went there were only a few cars in each class. We made the most of it but it was pretty lame. A good manager could make this place run a lot smoother with a little effort.
What an absolute disappointment this place has become. I grew up watching races here as a little guy, Ronnie McDowell, Sledge Larson, 25 car main events…..the days of BEACON HILL are long gone. Brought my 3 year old here to experience his first races at the track Daddy grew up at, this place is embarrassing. A 20 minute wait to get in for a line of 10 people, and then no mention that fireworks were cancelled. We got in at 5:40, races set to start at six. They held the entire crowd until 7:30 to allow for other people waiting in line to get in. All of that for a 5 car, 4 car, 4 car, 2 car main event. I could watch 5 cars tailgate each other on I-25 for free with more excitement. Concessions ran out of everything but fries and drinks, and that took another 40 minute wait to pay $8 for unseasoned fries. All of that and the stands were still PACKED. The owner of this place should be absolutely EMBARASSED. I’m not a diehard race fan, but I have come to beacon hill my whole life for some fun racing. That is long gone. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.
The admission is reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of track novelty items like blankets, mugs and shirts. Concessions fare is pricey for food that's prepared ahead of time and tastes like it. The track action is a little lackluster. Too few cars in each race just makes the races lame. I liked the location of the facility.
It pains me too leave a bad review because I used love this place! "Racing" was bad, first race had 2 cars, second race had 3! We left after the 2nd race! I feel bad for the racers, definitely not the way it used to be! Bring back the good ole days!!!
We had an amazing time last night at I25 Speedway! I am not a race car fan and either is my wife, but we went for our first time and had such a fun experience. The staff there is so friendly from the ticketing crew, the beer hut lady, to the flag guy who was so funny. We will be back with a bunch more people -thank you for making our Saturday night so much fun!
It's slow going right now because of the pandemic but soon I'm sure there will be more racers and more supporters. I've been going since it was called Beacon Hill love that place!!! Let's continue to support our local and out of towners that come to race and show us a good time!!!
If you advertise racing... Maybe you should have more than one car in the main event. 1 class had 7 cars. 3 classes had 3 cars. 1 class had 1 car. I have been going to and racing at this track since 1977 and this was the poorest excuse of racing I have ever seen. Ridiculous!!!!
