Ideal Furniture Company Inc. was founded in 1943 by Nathan Zivitz who made the transition from pharmacist to merchant. With the help of friends in the furniture business he opened a very small store next to his pharmacy. He strived to be the best service oriented and customer friendly store in town. After his son Melvin graduated from college he joined in the family business and with the core group of loyal customers the store expanded to its present 1/4 square block facility. In 1994 Melvin's son Kevin came to be part of the business. Ideal is still a small sized store with an older building, but the furniture is from moderate to middle priced and "High End" quality. Just like now, we have a 3rd generation ownership and we have many 3rd generation customers. We would like for You to become a part of our "Family" and enjoy the "Ideal" experience

As soon as my husband and I walked into the store, we were genuinely greeted. Our sales associate, Rodney Allen, was knowledgeable, relatable, and took the time to get to know what we wanted and ultimately needed. While making our way around the store, we also had the opportunity to talk and work with two generations of Ideal Furniture Company owners. These people are truly sincere, honest, and straightforward when it comes to their business. Being young first time furniture buyers, we never felt pressured or taken advantage of over the two days it took us to make our decisions. Everyone, even those not working directly with us, made us feel like part of the family. Coming from out of state, we had already done quite a bit of online window shopping and looked in the big box furniture stores, but found that nothing could compare to the quality of furniture that we saw at Ideal Furniture Company! At first glance it may appear from the tags that prices are overly high, but the tags are reflective of the entire set. They were more than happy to quote items out separately and offered a variety of discounts. Additionally, they offered free delivery and set up, which has proved invaluable to us. Ideal Furniture Company is a true diamond in the rough and we are so happy that we decided to stop in!

Very disappointed in visit today. Been trying to get to store since February but due to medical reasons I couldn't. Had purchased a leather living room group a few years ago but found it was not real leather early this year. Such a disappointment, furniture just peeling. I really felt an insult of my intelligence with the what Melvin offered to assist with to replace!! Unhappy customer experience!!
My husband and I just left the store after purchasing two nightstands and two absolutely gorgeous lamps. The son assisted us professionally and courteously, and we were amazed at the family's commitment to Ensley. Thank you.
The worker was very friendly and generous. She helped out with the business I was there for an was able to accomplish with buying nice furniture with a very good price.
Ideal furniture has treated me way better than any of the larger companies. Ideal is the only company to deliver my furniture without any kind of damage to it. I have to say that going with Ideal Furniture has been one of my best decisions. Great company to do business with.
