I have been taking my children to iKids for several years and am always impressed with the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind and they make the experience enjoyable for my kids. Dr. Randy Hamilton and his brothers have created an exceptional practice, going above and beyond what is expected. As an RN, I recognize the excellent care iKids provides their patients and I will continue to refer patients to them!
Scheduling was really fast, the appointment was not long at all, the waiting room did get packed but they move everybody in and out rather quickly so that’s nice. The only thing is if you’re a big person like me, it’s the most god awful uncomfortable wait. The chairs are tiny, so lose weight or expect to be extremely uncomfortable as a big person. It was a short wait time but it felt like hours due to the uncomfortable waiting area.
Super friendly staff and dentist. My kids love it there. They are also reasonable. Another dentist office told me they would have to put my son under IV sedation to get X-rays. I brought him here for a second opinion and I am so glad I did. Not only were they able to get his x-rays they told me he didn't need as much work as the other place who was trying to charge me over a thousand dollars. Thank you so much to iKids.
I normally don’t leave reviews unless I have a good experience, but this was wrong. No one answered the phone that morning even though I was told I was third in line. I even left a voicemail. I went in to schedule an emergency appointment and was told to come back at 4:15pm. Upon return, X-rays were taken and the dentist told me to put ointment on my son’s tooth that was completely loose on one side, but lodged in the other. Sent us home, no treatment. My son was in tears. Still charged insurance. Asked us to return next day. Some parents work too.
Everyone was super patient and kind with both of my kiddos. It was the first time for both of them, and from the x rays, to the cleaning, to the Dr. everything was explained to me as they did it! They offered to take my little one in a more private room for care and I thought that was really cool since he was a little scared. I’m happy to have found a dental home for my kids. My only recommendation is maybe hiring more front desk or having a better call system, i tried to get ahold of them 4 times to ask them questions about a voicemail they’d left and never got ahold of anyone. I’m not saying it’s anyone’s fault, I work in the medical field and I know how stressful and crazy it can get. But, unanswered calls and questions can lead to a lot of problems. it looks like they might need an extra helping hand! :
EDIT: it has been 3 days of trying to get through to this office and STILL cannot get a hold of anybody! It is impossible to even leave a voicemail!!! Edited to say I find it interesting they say to give them a call to work through it and every time I try to call, nobody answers the phone and you can’t leave a voicemail because the inbox is full. I have sent a email that has gone without a response as well. It is completely unacceptable. They deserve zero stars. I have had enough of this place. They cannot submit claims to insurance correctly and then send a bill wanting to be paid. This is now the 3rd time they have messed up and submitted a claim for a doctor my kids didn’t even use for it to be denied as “out of network” instead of submitting it correctly! Now they send me a bill. I tried to call and NOBODY answers the phone, then it goes to voicemail and the inbox is full so you can’t even do that. I drove up there to talk to someone and the person I need “wasnt working right now”. I was there during business hours and it was t lunch or anything. This place is inexcusable.
If only I could give this place a no star I would. Do not waste your time coming over here. This whole place is so UNPROFESSIONAL. Make you come to the office to cancel your appointment for ANY reason. My appointment child appointment was cancelled 3 times, no call. Whole staff need to be retrain. Taking my child somewhere else where we can be treated seriously. Update: The office Manager Courtney called me and she got my son scheduled she was very professional and quickly got the problem resolved.
It’s near impossible to get a hold of them, I had called 5 times and even emailed. When you finally do get ahold of someone after trying for weeks, the appointment went well. The dental hygienist was a little too extreme on educating my kid about what she eats due to minimal staining. Yet she had no cavities and as clean a teeth as any for an 11 year old.
We love Ikids Pediatric Dentistry. My three children have been patients at Ikids since their first teeth came in and we wouldn’t have it any other way. They’re efficient, great with children and do quality preventative and corrective dental work.
