huge gym! with a swimming pool. with indoor sport: squash, basketball, pingpong, etc. what you may want to know is that you MUST bring your MSU ID while doing a workout. i mean, what's the point of scanning our ID on the gate, then? also, the refill water taste not good. you may want to bring your own water.
Nice space, a lot more open than I expected with a variety of equipment! Lockers are available even if you don’t have a lock, and there are many sanitary wipes provided to wipe off machines after use which I have seen many people use!
Total disaster. Not many weight machines and too many people. You either spend the whole time waiting by a machine for it to free up or walk around aimlessly trying to find an open machine.
Have been there many times as a teen & had lots of fun. Now I'm going for daughter's swim meets. Usually indoor pools are too warm & humid but not here. It's a well designed bldg. With great ventilation. Definitely a first class facility with different types of indoor courts, and a few pools - all with lifeguards . The outdoor pool has a platform diving area which kids love, spent many relaxing hours there. There's a small fee for the public definitely worth it to use so I recommend checking their site for hours and prices. Hope you enjoy it!
Always VERY busy in the weight room. It's virtually impossible to get a complete workout done unless you don't mind having three people work in a bench set every time you finish three reps. Well maintained gym with relatively new equipment and a HUGE selection of machines and plenty of free weights. Try switching up when during the day you come to figure out what the best time is for less-than-peak hours. Pools are great though, clean and good chlorine concentration so you don't feel like you're taking a bath in chemicals.
A great facility that provides many resources! A great environment to work out. My only downside is that the gym does not come with tuition. Also, the weight room is frequently packed, but regardless equipment is usually available. My advice is to go earlier in the day or later at night.
Awful job at enforcing the mask mandate on campus by the staff. There are members walking in with masks around there chin and then completely taking them off once they check in. What is the point of having the requirement to keep the community safe if it is not enforced at all? I hope this changes and changes fast.
Plenty of gyms to use. Public is welcome to use and rent equipment to play basketball, volleyball and more. There's a weight gym, pool and handicap accessible entry and restrooms.
Rode my moped in 20 degrees only to be turned away because I forgot my MSU ID. The staff has seen me every morning for the last two months but still wouldn’t let me work out. I showed them my APID along with my drivers license so they could look me up in the system and they refused. Thanks for the great customer service!! I think Planet Fitness might be a better option than this dump.
This is a high quality workout center, with a behemoth outdoor swimming pool. You got the multi level high dive and 3m spring board, with well pool. Adjacent you have the 50m pool for your endurance workouts. The water feels gentle on your skin during a sunny summer day.
