Imm Thai Street Food authentically captures the essence of Thai street cuisine, delivering a true taste of Thailand from the moment you step inside. During my visit for takeout, the restaurant was bustling with customers, resonating with the lively ambiance of street food stalls. To my surprise, my order was swiftly prepared in just five minutes, mirroring the efficiency of street food vendors, true to their name. From the wok-tossed noodles selection, we opted for the Pad Woon Sen, a dish we hadn't previously tried among Thai noodle options. It was an absolute delight, brimming with flavor from the very first bite to the last. On the other hand, the Thai Fried Rice was satisfactory, falling in line with the expected taste but not standing out. We found the spiciness level to be just adequate, and in hindsight, opting for a spicier version might have been preferable. Although the staff mentioned they would include some spicy sauce, it was unfortunately missing from the bag. Parking is bit tough on busy University Ave. We had to go round the block twice to find a street parking nearby.
Ordered the following Was spicy and very flavorful Veggie pad kee mao - 5/5 Wouldn’t call it your traditional Thai pad kee mao, but had some spice to it Thai green curry - 4.5/5 Tom kha and Tom yum - 3/5 Taste was there in the soup, but they both had very big pieces of mushroom
Basic walk in and sit down. Nothing crazy, but it doesn’t always have to be. Im here for the food! Friendly staff, seems in order and clean. Got my usual, pad see ew, it was tasty. Not the best ive had, but id definitely get it again and try other options. Side note: its usually my go to when visiting a new thai spot. Green beans w/tofu were my favorite. The, tom yum was tasty as well.
We came here on Friday night, we had to wait a lot to be seated but it was totally worth it. The place itself is not too big but they have tables outside also. We ordered Moo Ping for appetizer the pork was really tasty but the chili sauce for a bit salty for me. For the main dish we ordered ginger chicken with rice, Pad Kee Mao and Red Curry. Everything was so good super delicious, cooked fresh and served fast. The portions were good size too.
Best Thai food in the bay area. Pad Thai noodles are spicy and tantalize your taste buds. Chicken Satay was juicy and yum. Red Thai curry is like you never had it before. The wait times could be longer at times but it's worth the wait. It's a Berkeley jewel. The service is awesome and good is always cooked fresh and served fast. Would go there again any time to have the delicious Thai iced tea
We went for lunch on Sunday and the place was packed at 2:30 pm. The wait process was streamlined. We checked in and we received a message when a table was available. The food was delicious We tried the chicken satay - 8/10 The peanut dip was sweet and the chicken was slightly dry Spicy fried rice with chicken - 10/10 Delicious and ! Green curry with veggies - 9/10 The flavor and taste were on point! They gave several pieces of eggplant instead of a variety of vegetables Mango with sticky rice - 10/10 one of the best I’ve had! Great portion size as well. The staff were courteous and the service was fast and excellent! We will be frequenting this restaurant! Definitely recommend to try this restaurant
At this Thai joint, I tried Pad Kee Mao, But alas, the dish didn't quite wow. Mediocre pork lacked that basil flair, A disappointment, I must declare. The noodles were cooked, but lacked that spice, The flavor profile was not precise. No hint of basil's fragrant embrace, The dish lacked depth, a disappointing taste. The pork was tender, cooked just right, But something was off, not quite a delight. The absence of basil, a glaring miss, A key ingredient, that hit or miss. The service was good, the ambiance nice, But Pad Kee Mao, a letdown precise. For Thai food lovers, it fell quite short, A culinary experience of last resort. Though other dishes may still shine, This one didn't hit the mark, I opine. With hopes for better flavor next time, For now, this dish left me in a culinary bind.
The Thai iced tea, mango sticky rice, and pumpkin curry were all delicious and authentic dishes; dish sizes were not very large so easy to finish for a single person. Service was fast even though they were busy close to closing, they still sat newcomers.Recommended dishesMango Sticky Rice
the pumpkin curry is a delicious blend of savory and sweet flavors, with tender chunks of pumpkin cooked in a rich and fragrant curry sauce. A good try. Second visit: I order green curry and the food is still good. But the service is bad and a long wait for food. The restaurant is crowded and only one server. 5Star --> 4Star
One of my go to places to go eat Thai food. Respectfully one of the best Thai places in the Bay Area and have the best Kana Moo Krob Crispy Pork Belly with Rice, however it has a spciy/hot taste good for spice lover. For more flavour or sweet staple I recommend the Pad See Ew over the Pad thai. Though thwy are fairly delicious it has a different and delicious flavour and fragrance to it that is enjoyable. Simply a place I could visit weekly. Fairly crowded at times as it is a staple for most Berkeley Students.
