There were no bugs, the room was dated and I had a great view of the dumpster out back. None of that was a big deal, I was there to sleep. My biggest issue was the lack of personnel at the front desk. The sign clearly stated someone would be at the front desk from 10am until 10pm. I checked in for five nights and was only charged for one night, rather than fix it right then, they told me to come down before check out. Went down at 1030 am and they told me it would be taken care of at 4pm, now things are getting strange. Went back to my room and the key didn't work, went back to the front desk and nobody was there. Called the hotel phone and no answer, called the after hours number and no answer. I was finally able to get my stuff out of the room around 330 pm. Come to find out, it was the maintenance guy that checked me in.
This hotel was an absolute nightmare. My husband and I came here to evacuate to somewhere "safe" from a hurricane. However, there was nothing safe or sanitary about this place. Immediately upon arriving, 4 people were asking for refunds. There were seemingly dried blood hand prints on the door from the inside of our room, mold rotting on the carpet, stains on the sheets and curtains. No one checked to see that our door did not even lock and we had our dog and belongings with us! We are STILL waiting for our refund but no response 3 weeks later. We stayed one night and paid for two, without any help from manager. Please do not ever go to this place, sleep in your car if you have to.
Stayed one night owing to Hurricane Idalia causing us to be evacuated from Hernando Beach. Check in was bad, only one person able to check people in - it was painfully slow. We queued for over 2 hours. Hotel is shabby and rooms weren’t clean. Bedding had been changed which was a plus and the aircon worked. Carpets were dirty and when I dropped my wallet and looked under the bed I found a discarded baby bottle. Dead bugs in the bathroom and the toilet backed up. Any port in a storm literally but I’d strongly advise you to try any other options.
This place has so much potential with no one to actually give it. The suite we rented had a fold out couch with no mattress and it was broken so you couldn't comfortably sit in it and the rooms seem sparsely furnished. I've only been there a few times, but every time I go there is never any staff at the front desk and forget about getting someone to answer the phone. I'm not sure how my friend was able to get the room to begin with. They don't serve breakfast either. I think every hotel should be providing breakfast if no other amenities are offered like at this hotel. It's just weird like it's self sustaining but it's barely sustaining...
I chose to stay here because my air conditioner broke at my house and this is the home of the tigers so I figured it would be a very nice hotel, I was very wrong. This is the most disgusting Hotel I've ever stayed in and I travel monthly for work. I have photos of actual Blood on the bed frame and several places with mold went to the front desk to complain and she moved me rooms. After me and my 6 year old moved up to the new room we were locked out so we had to go down and get a third room. The third room is very smelly but has no blood or mold that I can tell, I highly highly recommend people don't stay here unless you're looking to die or catch a disease. This is the most disgusting place ive ever. Ive been begging for a manager and I was willing to come back up tomorrow when a manager was available and the girl can't tell me when one will be available. No vending machines or ice. Basically do not stay here unless you are absolutely and desperate poor need and you're ready to catch a disease.
This hotel was disgusting! It looked decent for the price but the pictures make it look better than what it truly is. We showed up and received an attitude when I questioned something. Already off to bat we had issues. We got the room and it was a mess. Hair on an opened bar of soap, unclean sheets, smell of mold and mildew, burnt holes in the comforter, light fixtures hanging off the wall...the pool looked like something out of a horror movie.. the list goes on. Expedia graciously moved us and we are now very much happy with where they sent us but I am completely disgusted and feel like I need to take a bath in bleach. Will not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. I also busted my shin off an overhanging piece of metal. Thankfully I'm up to date on tetanus shots. Gross!
If I could rate the room a 0 star, I would. There was mold in our room and absolutely, no TV. Dried glue running down the door, paint or mold on carpet couldn’t really tell, no trash canRooms: 1/5
I'd only stay here if you want dirty soap in the shower and curly hair on the toilet that's not yours. We had garbage on the floor in our room. You could tell the room hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Place was filthy.Rooms: 1/5
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I selected this hotel due to the availability & dog friendly accommodations during Hurricane Ian. The dates of my stay were 10/1-10/3. Before my arrival, I attempted to call numerous times 6 calls made to verify check-in but there was no answer. Upon arrival at 330pm, there was no-one at the front desk but a sign that read staff is not there until 4pm, even though 2 employees were outside smoking cigarettes directly in front of the entrance & ignored me. There was also a woman lying on the staircase in the lobby asking for help, which was very strange. I was not able to check in until after 4:30pm because there was only one staff member working & multiple people checking in. I was placed in room 228. As soon as I walked in there was an immediate unbearable odor in the room, half of the carpet was soaking wet, the toilet seat was broken & the toilet water did not stop running. I asked to be moved to another room & was placed in room 204. This room also had a bad odor but it was a little more tolerable, however there was no light in the bathroom a lamp with no shade was in there to light it, the toilet water was continuously running, the shower did not drain quickly & resulted in standing water after 2 minutes of the water running, the cold water in the bathroom did not work, only the hot water, the phone did not work I had to call the main hotel number with my cellphone to ask about ice, at that moment I was then advised there was no ice at the hotel which is baffling, a brown/green substance was running down the back of the door, 2 electrical outlets did not work & there was literally at least 17 yes, I counted dead German cockroaches under the dresser, nightstand & both beds. There was also a dead cockroach on one of the beds. I was unable to change rooms after discovering these issues & was unable to go to another hotel due to vacancy because of the hurricane. There is no staff there at all during the day. To check out, you put your room key in a basket & fill out a sign out sheet. I was unable to speak to a manager about my experience before I left. I was told to send an email when I called the day I checked out & spoke to Chelsea. Chelsea advised to send an email to the manager, Ms. James, which I did & of course I did not hear a response. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
How the heck does this place have four stars? It is terrible. The manager will also lie about things. There is no restaurant. Everything bad about a hotel applies to this one. Do not stay here.
