Another beautiful Oakland county park! It's a metro park, so you need a pass to get in. This metro park is great for all kinds of activities: paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, and of my favorite, birding! You can even reserve some areas of the park for events. There are many trails that circumvent the lake in the middle of the park, and there's a nature center where I'm sure they host a number of events, such as summer camps for kids; check it out! Lastly, dogs are allowed, but please pick up after them so everyone can enjoy the park. Highly recommend! Playground: Playground for kids Restrooms: Restrooms available throughout the park, including at the nature center. Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed, but you must clean up after them. Picnic area: Plenty of places to enjoy a picnic. May need to reserve certain areas for special events.
It's a huge park with lots of trails to walk or bike. They have a lot of Pavillions you could rent out for events. They have a swimming area as well as a nature center. You can also fish in some areas of the park or you can put a boat in the water to fish. They have a nature center for children to learn about local creatures and habitats. It does cost some money to get in, but it is worth it, in my opinion. They do have bathroom facilities and playgrounds for children to play on as well. Nice place to spend the day and relax or have a picnic. Playground: Nice playgrounds spread out throughout the whole park. Restrooms: Restrooms spread out throughout the whole park. Seemed well kept. Dog-friendliness: You can bring your dogs here, but make sure to clean up after them! Picnic area: They have charcoal grills throughout the park to use or you can bring your own lawn chairs and have a cold picnic anywhere in the park you want. They have trash cans near the pavillions to get rid of your waste.
This was my wife and I's first time here together. We were going to go to Dodge Park initially but I decided to go somewhere new for a change. And I'm glad we did. Upon arriving to the place we had to drive all the way into the middle of the park to find the beach. But luckily there were some people there that let us know where it was exactly . Once we got there I immediately noticed how laid back and quiet it was there was a handful of people there but not too many. The bathrooms are very clean. And the water was nice and relaxing. I think my wife and I found the new spot to go to this Summer! Playground: The playground was really full and ample. Slides monkey bars and swings. Lots of kids were outside playing with the mom and dads. It was nice to see people out enjoying the day. Restrooms: The restrooms were super clean aside from one of the toilets flooding. You can tell that they take pride in cleaning the place up for their patrons. Dog-friendliness: I saw one person come in the beach with their dog but not too many pets were inside the area. But there's a lot of trails nearby so I'm sure they were walking them around there more. Picnic area: There were several tables to set up for a nice quiet picnic. Definitely going to utilize them next time.
Best beach ever! I like that in the afternoon there are shade from the trees at the beach. There are picnic tables, grills, and a playground next to the beach. There is a beautiful hicking/biking trail. Clean restrooms. Awesome park
The most significant hills in any Park in Michigan's Lower Peninsula I've found. Clearly marked trails. A pretty lake. Helpful Nature Center. Bring bug spray! And $5 for a one day Park permit.
A beautiful park to hike! The trails are well maintained and marked. They have multiple picnic areas. Playground: There are multiple clean updated playgrounds. Restrooms: The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Picnic area: There are multiple pavilions, grills and picnic tables.
I love this place. I come here several times a year with my family and have done the same hikes several times. Going here is a great way to take a break and enjoy nature. The location is also amazing. Playground: Small Picnic area: Lots of picnic spots and large open areas
Loved the hiking trails, and the water view is beautiful and claiming .Nice 5 mile walk
Nice park with nice little lakes. The small one is to swim in. Bbq places nicely located. Lots of playgrounds for kids. Nice trails
