DO NOT come here. They will NOT treat you with kindness or respect. The front desk/check in and security guards are angels but the nurses are stressed, they silence and yell at their patients. I’ve never seen anything like it! Been to a dozen hospitals and never have we seen an out of control nurse like we did here in the ER. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she denied my request! She instead threw me out of the ER for asking. We experienced bias, prejudice, and ZERO compassion. No rooms, only make shift temporary cubicles with chairs. Horrible. This hospital should be reported to the department of health. Only after threatening to leave did they finally treat us.
I arrived at the ER at 9:30 pm and was admitted overnight with a heart issue. I found the nursing staff and doctor to be competent but needed to be more engaged. The medical care I received was focused on meeting the minimal standard of care with nothing extra provided. No one is performing their jobs beyond the minimum requirements. The staff is disgruntled, and the working environment seems to be toxic. From body language and attitude, the people working there are not happy to be there. The ER could use a good cleaning; attending to water, emptying the urine jug, and checking in on me needed to be improved. Medical packaging was left on the counter and bedside table. The nursing assistant emptied my urine jug in the sink rather than walking across the hall and dumping it in the toilet. My water cup was always left on the table just out of my reach. Once I was stabilized and hooked up to the machines and IV. If I pressed the call button, it seemed inconvenient for them to answer my call. The care I received once admitted and moved to a room was better, but the care I received was only meeting minimum standards of care. There is little attention paid to patient comfort and personal needs. If you want to see a staff person between required visits for medication and vitals, you have to press the call button. Why did they paint everything white? It could be more institutional and less inviting in there. Things at the hospital were much better before the Cleveland Clinic took over. It's sad and disappointing that a world-class healthcare company can perform so poorly. We were promised and expected more.
Had the best care provided for my mother. She had c-diff and the nurse and aide changed her non stop for 5 days without complaint. They jumped to help her and never expressed impatience ever. Cleaning staff also amazing. Only complaint was social worker who was a no show and not helpful at all.
I was worried because I had heard bad things about the hospital. I was pleasantly surprised at the fantastic care from the ER to the nurses and nurses assistants. Everyone has been so wonderful. They are pleasant and caring. The doctors are wonderful too. Just can't say enough good about this experience.
Cleveland Clinic ran it took over told this place they can do it better. It's worse than socialized medicine. You screwed thus community! It's ONLY about money. The care all around now is absurdly HORRIBLE! I intend to leave this community now as medical care is why we moved here. You have done NO justice for this community. Read reviews for all surrounding offices as well as Vero Radiology before you thieves took over. It's disgusting what has happened.
Admitted very quickly into ER with what looked to be rapid A-fib. Quickly progressed to V-Tac. Staff was very professional and communicated what was happening and the next steps. I never once had concerns regarding my safety or quality of medical care. They were a life saver! Anyone concerned with wait times, stop using the ER as a clinic and use the walk-in.
I was admitted 8/2/2022 with a pulmonary embolism In my lungs. On 8/3/2022 had an episode that probably should have killed me. They got me revived and to the ICU dept. I can’t say enough about the care I received. Every Dr. and every nurse was phenomenal through my trip through several depts/floors in my 5 days there. Thank you to all who gave me incredible care.
My uncle was in and the place is not hospital clean. There was actual mold growing in the shower. I'm not thrilled about most of the staff although there were some great nurses and doctors they were too far and few. And please don't send loved ones to behavioral health if you love them. The treatment is bad the place dirty and the food inedible.
I had an outpatient procedure a urolift performed and my appointment was scheduled at 10am. The procedure was not performed until 6:30pm. Simply unbelievable. I was informed by a nurse her name won't be mentioned on staff how stated this happens regularly. Unbelievable
Waited for 4 hours.. treated as though I wasn't even there. Excuses for missing my name. Excuses for the slowness. 4 hours waiting to be seen. Still not seen. Asked about wait given again another excuse!! Disorganized and extremely RUDE STAFF!!! ONE STAR IS TOO MANY!! Judgemental, unfriendly, complete lack of a bedside manner. Only kind person in the bunch is the officer there to "keep watch". Receptionist or should I say billing person, extremely RUDE. When you don't feel good you don't need to be berated by some girl with and attitude and ego problem!! HORRIBLE!!? Update 1237am.. still waiting... Legs are now almost double in size... They just don't care!!
