Self readers to pay, takes too long and readers touchy, use real people. Also construction jammed things up along with ones that only took Easy Pass and not cash. Put people to work and it will run smoother.
If you don't have EZ pass, and don't have $10+ in quarters, you're SOL coming through here. The credit/ debit card wasn't working, signs saying "do not back up", and no live person there to help. And it also won't take $1 bills if they aren't crisp and new. Luckily I had about $10.60 worth of change, but everyone else in front of me encountered the same problem, causing a traffic jam. Get with the times, and do toll by mail. Or at least have working equipment or a live human being there.
The Indiana Tollway was confusing. Some of them were pay as you go and others I got a scan ticket or a ticket with the list of tolls. I have tried to go online to pay the ones I possibly missed and it doesn't recognize my ticket numbers I know for a future travel this way I will need to have a pass.
We have been at a dead stop for 30 minutes and the toll plaza is still a half mile away. Didn't Indiana privatize their section of the toll road? Another bad decision by Republican Indiana.
We got on this highway because Google Maps said there was an exit immediately after that would take us to our destination. Well, the exit was permanently closed, so we had to keep driving about 12 miles to get off this toll road. We got to Ohio's unmanned toll booth to pay, and it was maybe 6 pay stations bottle necked into two lanes, which took a long time to get through. Awful.
I knew we hit indiana when the brand new machine wouldn't work for my husband and the lady had to issue the, newly standard, " verbal ticket". This is where they ask you to remember numbers so you don't charged for the whole state worth of the most garbage toll road in the country. Good reviews can only be fake. The "rest stops" are literally oversized, overpriced seven elevens. Go around this road if you can. Unless you like paying for abuse. Ohio and PA turnpike don't have any problems. When will indiana get it together?
Very slow here. Car's were backed up. Lanes weren't marked very good so you knew what lane to be in.
How this GARBAGE company has anything better than a 1* is beyond me! Brand new machines, same GARBAGE result!!! I swear this is where they test how not to run a toll road here! PATHETIC!!
Paying the toll is great verse waiting on a bill in the mail. The toll both operator was pleasant with a smile and gave recommendation on restaurants in the area.
This place is literally trash, worst toll booth experience ever. Not only are the scanners broken and don’t read EZpass, but also they don’t give receipts so they expect you to show your company a BANK STATEMENT
