Since 1911, the school has been dedicated to developing competent, caring professionals who are qualified to assume leadership roles in social work practice, and who strive to enrich the lives of the people they touch. The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredits the Master of Social Work program at Indiana University (continuously since 1923). In addition to social work, the School also serves as the home of the university's Labor Studies Program.
